Widest tire can I go with 18 X 8 rims?

What is the widest tire size I can fit on 18 X 8 rims without any/little sidewall bulge (I guess some would be alright) and without the tire rubbing the inside of fender?

Would like some help on this one please.

18x8?

that's a Honda size?

Anyhow if you go by Toyo or Yokohama's chart it would be 235's. Stock FD rims are 8", don't know what the FC's are. You can put 235/45-16 on stock rims.

If you want them just for show, you can buy my chrome Utlra's 17x7.5 and run 225/40-17's but you are better off with 17x8.5's. Tire selection and price on 18's suck.

Thanks for replying. If that is the stock size of FD rims then I can could put 245s on. And they are the rims on an FD I am going to buy hopefully. Can I fit larger tires even if it causes tire bulge, like a 255 or 265 width?

That's actually not true when it comes to lower than a 45 series tire. As the profile goes lower a wider wheel is required. Reccommended is 235 on the 8" width.

In order to accurately consult you I'd need to know the offset of the wheels you are getting to ensure that they won't rub. This is the most important actually.

A 245/40 would be too tall as well. You'd need a 35 series and that would require an 8.5" width. Hope this helps some. Get back to me or SleepR1.

DAMNIT…… if I get this car I will PM you so I can figure out what size tire I can use. I don't want 235s on the back, that’s for damn sure.
