Who's Running H&R Sport Springs w/R1 or R2 Stock Shocks
I am planning on getting these springs next week and just wondering how y'all like 'em..Would love to do coil overs but I think that will have to wait till tax return time
I currently have my new wheels on and they fit great...However, there's about 2"between the wheel and the fender in the rear and aboutthe same up front...I belive my offsets are +38 and +40...No rubbing until I accelerate really hard or corner really hard and then it's just on the rear. Just trying to see if these would work out for me or just sit and wait till money rolls in.
EDIT: I probably should have searched before I posted this
ah well

I have H&R Sports w/ Bilstein HDs and I love it. Lowers the car about 1.25" from stock and cleans up the aesthetics. Ride is a bit stiffer yet it isn't jarring.
Manny Lozano aka "SleepR1" is running H&R Sports w/ R1 (Showa) shocks. I believe he has 17x9 +45 SSR Integrals w/ 255/40-17 all around. Might want to do a search w/ his name.
BTW, what width wheels and tires do you have?

I have 235/40/17 and 275/40/17 with 17x9 & 17x10 +38 & +40 I am just wondering if I will be ok with just the H&R sports on my stock R2 shocks.
You know, those wheels have really low offsets. You're right on the edge where you may rub, but it all depends, everybody's car is different. For reference, I had 17x8.5 +37 Fikses w/ 245/40 (up front) and the H&R/Bilstein combo and didn't rub, however, I've seen others w/ the same width wheels and higher offsets, and they pull their fenders out ("David Kim"). You can try searching more, or drop Manny a line and ask. Also look up "Devilish", "zeravla", and "radkins". They all run H&Rs and you might want to compare their setups. Or, you can always save up for coilovers. The JIC FLT-A2s seem to be a good streetable set.

Congrats on the sale, Manny. I'm sure you missed the car seeing it go away. Hope it's going to a good home. Anyway, what other cars are you looking at to replace the FD with???

Great combo. Have had this setup since Y2K. NYC buyer will come to pick up my car this Saturday morning (Nov 13)--I guess he can comment on the suspension setup LOL
