Get some cheap(er) used Volks off of a Japanese car on ebay and get them powdercoated if you have a certain color you want.

I found some old washing machine white ones in 17x8.5 +30 and 17x9.5 +40 (which is perfect max fitment for FC) after several months of searching ebay.

Here they are after powdercoaing- half the price of new Volks

i think the takata green ones are custom.. ive only seen them once.. youre best bet is to get them powder coated...

fcmax 09-01-08 12:43 AM

makinin industries i believe can get them

CWITR 09-01-08 01:30 AM

Any authorized Volk Racing dealer can get them for you. Mackin Industries is the US importer for Rays Engineering, but I dont believe that you can order directly from them. Ordering them in a custom color will cost an additional $30/rim, but that may have gone up when Rays increased their prices a couple of months ago.

Yes, Takata Green TE37s are custom ordered. Try contacting ASpec in El Monte, CA. They brought in quite a few sets over the years....

ARD T2 09-02-08 01:01 PM

I can get you the Takata Green TE37's or the Mag Blue.

how much though.. best aggressive fitment for the stock fender fd

Depends on size, but I know Aspec had the new pricing for a staggered setup 17x9, 18x10 for something like $2800. Sucks that Rays keeps upping prices.

I bet the prices were rising due to the exchange rate ... If that was the case then prices would have most certainly fallen over the month of August. I am sure there is a little lag, but I would bet it is directly related.

No, Volk / Rays / Mackin have been raising prices incrementally over the years irregardless of exchange rates. They have never dropped prices. This most recent price hike was around $100 per wheel for TE37s. Thats why if you look around you will see alot of people selling brand new TE37s because they just paid $2400 for them a few months ago and can now sell them with "no wait" for 2800 (pretty lame).

BLUE TII 09-04-08 03:58 AM

Yes, price of TE37 has gone up every year.

I bought my 1st set ~6 years ago from Rishie at AutoR&D and when I looked to go w/ a wider fitment I couldn't believe how much they now cost.

After scouring the web and calling all over for quotes I think the cheapest I found 17x9.5 was $575 each.

$1,300 for a set of used TE37 in 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 with tires and some fresh powdercoat sounded really good to me after that.

I replied to your email.

Our website prices are incorrect FYI. I just need your zipcode and i can quote ya.

You're asking for a pretty crazy offset is this a widebody rx7? I doubt you'll find your offsets used and if you want look at the 240sx forums etc...

I definitely understand, but even if they raise them every year in yen, the first part of this year they would have gone way up in $ terms...and over the last month or two, would have fallen in $ terms. It was nearlly a 10% swing in the exchange rates.

I bought a set of RG-R BBS wheels a few years back, and prices have DOUBLED at least on those over these last couple of years. That is nuts! But I guess it is what it is....

Not to hijack, but

It allowed for 255 up front and 275 in the rear on stock fenders with just the lip rolled under in front and kept the offset close to stock for better handling.

What fitment do you consider perfect on the FC?

slava 09-05-08 02:50 PM

haha this shit is gonna be funny

we obviously have different views on fitement, these pics are from a couple of guys in town

Drift vs. Grip fitment. You're both right. Kudos to both of ya.

slava 09-05-08 04:40 PM

can i exhange my kudos for wheelz?

BLUE TII 09-06-08 12:07 AM

Nah, hold onto your kudos to give them out when some racer shows up to a drift event to play and I will hold on to mine for when a drifter shows up at a race to play. :icon_tup:

burtoncr 09-06-08 10:12 AM

So you race? with other cars? or do you just lap at track days because thats not racing.

stock body.. haha I have the burnout fenders but don't know if I want to put them on..

BLUE TII 09-06-08 01:16 PM

Yeah, I race solo 2- Auto X and hillclimb in a little local club.

Hmm, there are 3 cars on the 2.2 mile hill at once, but we try really hard to keep them apart :P

I want to try the Enduros next which are solo, but on a big Kart track. I think that is solo 1- supersprint.
