which Wheels For My Fd

I have found two wheels that I can get hold of for my black fd3s but I can't decide which ones to chose from. Please help?

1st one gets my vote...

1st one for the big lip...

the 2nd might look better as a smaller track wheel....

What size do you plan on running?

I would bet that with the correct FD offsets, you are not going to have that big of a lip, as in the pic of the first one.

I think both are really nice looking. I am leaning more towards the second.

Could you give us a link to that brand, so we could see what offsets and sizes they provide for those rims?

edit: Nevermind, found it.

At the weekend I destroyed my n/s/r wheel and I cant find one anywere, so I have had to look for a new set and these are what I can get hold of strait away.

The ones on the left will be in 18" and the hole package will be £1400 and they look wicked.

But the ones on the right will be in 17" and only cost me £650 because I have some tyres that will fit but I am not shore if they will look good on my fd.

Its an exspensive gamble.

Has any one got any pics of similar wheels on their cars?

hmm i cant decide.. the first one..hmm i like the style but too much bling... second one is not that flashy but its clean.. hmm..

edit: seems like the second one that im leaning for is cheaper... is it lighter too? id get it if its that much cheaper. nice and clean without much bling.. i like em

robertwallace 04-10-06 03:18 PM

first ones look better out of the two. I'd go with a completely different wheels though ;)

NUMBER 1!!! I really like those big ass lips.

Just my .02 though

Number 1!!

I like the ADR similar version.

on the first choice, you don't have good offset selection on them. The second one you have a offset option that will work but is only 7" wide which is a step back from the factory wheels.

I love the wheels on FD Reys red rx7. but I cant find many wheels over in england. im having to cycle to work every day and its always f**king raining in the UK, ive got to buy a new set of rims by the end of the week.
Has any one got any good ideas of what else I could go for?

Take a look at my bent wheel

rynberg 04-11-06 03:44 PM

Neither of those wheels have any sizing/offset selections that will work with an FD.

ARD T2 04-12-06 05:30 AM

Exactly, just as Ryn said it. Give up on those options they are a no go. You won't have a good wheel seutp for the FD.

On a second note those wheels are not ultralite. Those are simply replica wheels. I recognize the designs and offsets. Here you can find them as MB Motoring wheels on disocunt tire, for the 5 spoke one. THe other i do believe is an ADR, exactly same mold and wheel.
