Look is a subjective thing...it's your call. WRT weight, I would think the SSR be the lightest then Volk then Racing Hart.

My Racing Hart C2 18x8.5 weighs 22lbs and 18x10 weighs 24lbs, fyi.

Request: Racing Hart C4 multipiece wheels on a black FD, preferably 18in. Thanks.

either way white or bronze on a black car looks dope!

...wait i found the pic in my computer..

1200 per rim thats fuckin crazy!!! i wanted those rim sreally bad too lol. I wonder if its cause they ahve to be specially shipped from Japan??? even if that boosts the cost the wheels have got to be reallyt expensive to begin with.

TurboFD 07-15-03 10:20 PM

well as of July 15 u can get a set of 4 MS-01 (nog mags) with 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in the back for $2354 so its not that bad. Only liike 200 more than Volk TE-37s

Anyone have any pictures of a Silver FD with gunmetal wheels? I am trying to decide if that would look good or not. Thanks

Looking for pics of different kinds of anodized black rims on FDs...preferrably on a black FD but any other color would be fine...thanks!

This was TAZ's FD3S before he sold it. He was probably the originator of the "SleepR1" fitment--his Volk SE37Ks are 9 x 17, 40-mm offset all around, and predates my first Rx7 Forum post in Sept 2001. TAZ mounted 245/40-17 Hoosier R3S03, cuz he's a true racer, not a poseur, like so many FD3S owners LOL :)

FWIW, I've decided to go with SE37K a la TAZ, except mine will be in Titanium Silver with center caps (a la maxcooper). Because I can't trailer my FD3S, I will go with 255/40-17 Toyo RA-1s, with a full size spare in back in case of a flat to, or from the track venue.

I toyed with the idea of BBS RG-R but I just can't make myself put asymmetric wheel/tire size on my FD3S. I love the handling too much, not to mention the convenience of rotating in the full-size spare for maximum tire life...

Best of luck in whatever you're doing now with your FD3S!

Nice Jay - very nice.;) cewrx7r1 polished the lips on his RPO1 and painted the spokes/center in black. Looks amazing. Pics of it were taken at our last meet - hopefully it'll be posted to our website soon:

I was going to mention that they stick out a little far and might look funny... but then I saw the file names and realized that that's what you were going for
