Wheel fitment Question

I'm looking at some 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. The wheels im looking at for the front is 18x8 5-114.3 5-4.5" 20 offset but also have 40 offset. The rear is 18x9.5 with the same pattern and offsets. Which offsets would i use for the front and rear i don't want the wheels sticking out of the fenders. What tire size as well can i use for the front and rear i here people say use a 225/40/18 in the front with no issues and 275/35/18 in the rear with no issues can this be correct.Any help will be appreciated.

[edit] Below applies to FD, so probably not applicable... Thanks Rxmfn7.

I'd get the +40 offsets. Less problematic all around, will allow for greater tire widths.
On the fronts, 225/40-18 will work for sure, 245/35-18 is also a possibility but might need a fender roll and would be a better fit on an 8.5" or 9" wheel.

I'd go 265/35-18 in back, or 275/35-18 (might need a roll). 285/35-18 is the widest you could fit on 9.5", would almost certainly need fenders rolled.
255/35-18, or even 245/35-18 or 245/40-18 are also options on the skinnier/stretchier side.

ZDan, judging by the OPs sig I assume he has asking for an FC, not and FD. If that is the case, its been a long time since Ive been an FC guy, but I know you dont have like any inboard clearance. Id think the +20 offsets would work, but Id run a smaller tire on the rear 9.5s, such as a 255/35. You will still need a roll.

The wheels im looking at only have 18x8 then goes to 18x9.5 and higher.I will be rolling my fenders. For the front tires im going to use the 225 but which one is best 35 or 40.For the rear i guess then ill use 275/35/18 to be safe. Thanks

so the 20 offset will work best for my fc with a 255/35/18 for the rear instead of the 275/35/18.Thanks
