Tire width - already looked at the sticky

Hey everyone,

I'm about to get new tires for the FD. I currently have 18" Enkei RPF-1's 9.5" wide in the back.

I will have 500whp after the tune (cross your fingers) what is the widest and best tire for this? It's mostly a street car, may see a drag sometimes, if its ever on a road course i will have different rims so not an issue.

What do you think the best tire for this will be? I need good traction, and needs to be decent in rain. I'm thinking the wider the better, its got 265's , but how much wider can i go? And what do you recommend for high traction streetability?

Get 255/35/18 up front and 275/35/18 rear.

You can do 265/35/18 up front but you might need to raise the car a little and slightly modify the fender.

Thanks, my fronts are actually 8.5" wide rims, so i'll be keeping slim up there, what brand do you recommend assuming I go with the 175's in the rear?

haha, thanks, but what brand will stick and still be decent in the rain? I've heard the Toyo 888's are good. anything else?
