Tire suggestions for my 3rd gen...
Whats up guys.. I'm looking for a good tire to wrap around my Work Meisters... I only need two rears..But I need them to fit the following characteristics:
Work Meisters s1 two piece 8 x 9 -best Mileage I can get for DD -best handling I can get since I DD my car through the canyon -they will be stretched -dont have to be good rain tires..cause I don't drive my car in the rain I've looked at the yokohama advan neova AD07...and AD08's, as well as some Hankooks but I'd like to see what everyone is using out there and mileage etc.. All suggestions are welcome!! Thanks! |

I'm thinking about just going with some Nitto Nt05's... which I ran on my integra..but it was fwd.. |
Street tires = Direzza Star specs.

Mileage meaning fuel economy or tire life?
|
Bridgestone re 11 which replaced re-01R i believe, IMO offers the best dry traction and the most Race compound available for the money. very sticky and quiet as well. tread wear is like 180:)

By mileage..I mean tread life...I'm looking for something around a tread wear rating of 200..even though I know each brand is different and 200 to one brand is different than 200 with another. But I don't really mind the road noice...
So i got: Direzza Star Specs Bridgestone Re11's Nitto NT05's ......i'll have to compare prices.. |
Yokohama AD08s, or if they're too rich for your blood get the Dunlop Direzza Star Specs.
|
You digging the AD08s so far?
|
Bridgestone RE series FTW
|
i'm going to be running RE760s 275 rear with 255 front daily driven. I've always had great experiences with Bridgestone

Well I went ahead and ordered the Nitto NT05's today...had a great deal on the two rears. 200.00 for a set!!!!.. I went with the 245-40-18. They don't come in till next week but i'll post pics when they do. Here's a pic of them...Modified mag gave them a pretty good review for street mild track and so I decided to test them out!

Well that's definitely not a stretch setup. The 9" isn't wide enough anyways.
That 245/40/18 is a taller tire than your OEM 225/50/16 tire. 255/35/18 would probably be a more ideal tire diameter, but we run the 245/40 diameters if guys are putting down good power or have V8 swaps. Rishie |

Rishie well the 265/35's are comingoff..and they sit flush.. So i figured i'd go with the 245 40 so i can fill a little more space between tire fender.. i'm putting down a decent amount of power...but I also run the canyons on the weekends so I don't want to sacrifice too much contact.. i'll take pics when they come in and are mounted.. - ap |
