Tien Flex + EDFC?

Does anybody know anything about the Tien Flex and EDFC combo available for the FD3S? How street worth is that system in comparison to the HA? Would it be better worth the price with the included upper pillow ball mounts? What about lowering capabilities?

check through the long post covering where to get TEIN HAs. I think someone posted some info on the flexs.

I don't know if this helps, but the magazine ads for the TEIN Type Flex features a little round chart including all of their suspension systems w/ comfort on the left, stylish at the bottom, sporty at the top and competition at the right of the chart and crosshairs in the middle.
TEIN has placed the Flex to the comfort side of the cross hairs and HR/HA just to the comptition side of the crosshairs- though close to the middle.
Anyways, something to check out...

Yeah, I saw that add. That's where I got the idea to ask around about it. I'll search the other forum about Teins to see what I can find about them. Does anybody know if these coilovers would be considered better than stock or just more adjustable? They wouldn't be less sport worthy than stock, would they?

Tein did lots of research to develope the valving for each of their suspension kits. The spring rate is well thought out.
Tein's design is more targeted towards performance than stock supsensions. It will improve the handeling of your car significantly.
With the flex system, you have lots of tuning ability, plus the convinience with the EDFC. This is a very good combination for weekend auto crossers and track racers.
PM me if you are interested in pricing.

tein did a lot of research to develope the valving for thier kits in JAPAN..... they didn't give americans the same courtesy... JIC has done this re-engineering for U.S. roads though (re-valved and spring rates changed to match)......guys trying to sell you Tein will tell you how great they are(they are good stuff) but they are engineered for Japanese roads making them prone to freeway chatter in USA. plus check out the real specs on them like dampener type(twin or monotube?) piston size, shaft size... you don't want to flex your Flex now do you? Flex suspension is nice for aggressive street driving but I personally think they are a little whimpy for track. Just food for thought.... from a guy who ain't trying to sell you tein stuff. Do you homework or you'll be pissed off later. Don't jump on the first grenade that is throne your way!
