Is there anyway to run a 17x8.5 +35 offset on the front for FC?

i found a great deal on a 17x8.5 and 17x9 set of rims... that are + 35 mm offset

is there anyway to run a 8.5 inch rim on the front without rubbing?

i will hopefully be installing JIC magic FLT A2s soon...

CAN IT BE DONE?

thanks

even if i mount a 235/40/17 tire? or maybe a 225?

I had 17x8 with 35 offset on the front of my car with tokico shocks and racing beat springs, I was running a 235/17 17 and it didnt rub at all. If those shocks you are talking about getting are slimmer than stock it could work. I also know that a 17x8 with 38 offset will fit with a 235/40/17, I has also run that setup.

FC Tire Wheel Offsets

i have intrax springs and was wondering what off sets would work on the front of my FC with a 17*8 inch wheel and 225/45/17 tire.
what about the rear of an FC what are my limitations there. what offset is reccommeded? i was hoping to go with a 17*9 w/ 255/40/17 tire.
thanks
justin

the correct tire width and wheels shoudl be as follows.

17x8 +35 to + 40 mm offset on 225/45/17 or 235/40/17
(u will need coil over or 2.5 OD springs)
17x9 + 35 to + 40 mm offest on 255/45/17

those are what you should be running...

but what i'm wondering is if 17x8.5 will work, because 17x8 is already really really close
