Tein HA's for FD?

Why are the HA's not listed on Tein's sight for the FD? Does anyone know what the spring rate is on them? Also what is the difference between them and the HR's, and RA's?

What does everyone think of Tein? I've read about rusting issues? How much does it cost on average to rebuild them?

I have searched Tein's site thoroughly and cannot find answers to these questions. Thanks for your help.

They no longer make the HAs for the FD. You'll want to look at the Flex system, it uses the same springs/damping as the HA but adds independent spring perches and better reliability -- less chance of rusting, etc.

I really like mine and haven't had any quality or rust problems. I've heard that the Flex has same spring rates, but not sure if that is true or not.

thanks, I just got off the phone with Tein tech support (forgot they would be open since they're on the west coast or I wouldn't have posted here), they answered most of my questions.

Thanks for the response.

sure:

HR's are non adjustable, HA's are 16 way adjustable

However both of these versions are no longer sold in the US (except some stores' remaining stock). They represent the old Tein as they have the old style spring seats and paint which are both prone to failing.

The new RA's and Flex's however are said to hold up much better and come with a 1 year warranty against rust. The RA introduces a monotube design that is aluminum bodied in the FD version, VERY stiff spring rates.

HA's F:671 R:559
Super Streets (SS) F:671 R:559
Flex's F:559 R:448
RA's F:895 R:895

You don't need coilovers for street driving. Stick with lowering springs.
