Tanabe springs ?
 

Anyone has experience with Tanabe Springs for FD ?
I got a great offer, but I'm afraid they will no help my car much performance-wise. They drop the car about 1.75" which is actually a lot considering that they are almost same spring rate as stock springs.

Any opinions or reviews ?

You track your car, right?

If so, I would recommend the RSR Race Springs. Honestly, I haven't tried them yet, but the specs of them looks to be the best fit spring for tracking the car without going to a coilover setup.

I have had Tanabe springs for the past 2 years, they have had no issues. Ride quality is fine.

They are Tanabe Super Down Precedeo springs. They are 10% stiffer and drop the car like 1.5" or so. LT1-7 forum member is selling them.

I track my car and am worried they would cause the dampers to bottom out or rub. Currently I'm on stock size wheels but I'd like to go 18" in the future (something like 245/xx/18) and would hate to have to change the springs again for that.

P.S.: I have just returned from the track day. Finished 2nd fastest, beating the likes of M3, Evo 6, Porsche 993 S; on 225 3 years old tires and stock suspension running only 9psi. Gotta love the FD :D

IMO, if you want something that will also help you on the track, the Eibachs would be one choice (since their performance is balanced between street/track), then with the RSR Race Springs which would be the next choice with a little rougher on the street but probably a great track spring.

I have decided not to take them. They just dont fit my tracking requirements.
I'll most likely hunt for a used pair of Eibachs.
