T2 Suspention set up?
 

Its time for the suspention to be sorted out, its basicly stock and want to get it well set up.

I have a few Questions, Who does the best suspention componants for the T2 ie Camber ajusters etc.

Do you rate Koni yellows? and with which springs (25mm to 35mm drop)

Would you loose the rear steer? i personaly dont like it but i can live with it if the handling will benifit.

Last but not least what would you do to the brakes? just fit Grooved and drilled Disks or big brake kit?

I have a good budget i am prepared to spend what it takes to get my handling as good as i can.

I have got some Koni yellows (not fitted) and that is as far as it goes at the moment.

i understand i have to do alot of Geo work to lower it and get good handling, what i need to know is what i need and what sort of prices. The main problem for me is i'm in the UK so geting bits for my T2 is a Bind.

to answer your first question the best camber plates are made by www.k2rd.com the upper plate is the same but the spring prech upper bearing is a much better design than anything else.
the next thing to decide is what do you need it to do?
are you drag racing? road racing? street driving? do you care about the ride quality, or do you have crappy roads like we do?
the rear steer bushings make the car feel better and more consistant (because they are new) but i think its more of a preference thing.
if i was doing a street fc you want to lower the front a little bit (my friend has eibachs), install the toe eliminator bushings, rotate the strut tops to get the most camber caster, put good shocks in and put good tires on it, my friend has his fc setup like this and it handles really well without being too stiff

Right i will be useing it for Track/Fast road and No i dont care about it being stiff as long as it handles realy well.

The rear Steering bushings are quite a big thing, i dont know if there dead and want replacing or just the way they are but it seems very unstable at speed going around sweeping bends (does'nt feel right).

That is what the stock rear steer bushings feel like when pushed to the limit. You need the rear toe eliminator bushings. They are only $40 I think... they need to be pressed in though.

I just purchased the K2RD.com coilover kit, KYB AGX shocks, caster/camber plates, and rear camber link. Couldn't be more pleased.... price was right $950, and easy install. The ride is great, handling is very nice, and blows the doors off of my stock GXL suspension with the AAS (auto adj suspension) option.

I see that you have the Koni yellows already. Email K2RD.com and see if their plates will work with your shocks/struts. They can get you any custom spring rate too.

Add a front strut tower bar and you are pretty much set.

GNX7, I have done a bi of home work into the Kit it does look good,

Am i right in saying that once all that is fitted i can lower the car 35mm and still be able to keep the Geo within ajustment?
