T2 Coil overs?

I am going to buy some new Coil overs for my T2 in the next few weeks, what i would like to know is which Coil overs would be best suited to my Aplication.

I can start with the Spec of my car, its a 1990 T2 with a 20B single turbo fitted, it has all the Bushings,Toe eliminators etc done and it has 225/40/18's on the Ft and 255/35/18's on the rear, it will be used for Trackdays and some Hill climbing.

I have at the moment a $1200 buget but that will go up as time goes on (when i get payed).

I am hearing good things about Tein and JIC but not knowing anyone that has them fitted have no experiance with them.

What is your Opinion?

Chris

How wide is you rear rim. I have 225/40/18 on my car and i can't get grip at all. I brake loose in 4th gear. I was thinking of going a bigger tire in the rear like yours. Or going down to 17's and go wider rim with bigger tires.

My rears are 9.5 wide.

Ok, it's come down to two set ups, the Tein Flex's and the JIC SF1.

Does anyone have any experiance with ither of them?

What do you think?

I will be using it for Street/Track use.

Thanks.

Chris

Take the Tein Flex over the SF1 no matter what. And trust me I know JIC's. lol. It's a good suspension but you get some great variability out of the Flex. It is however more of a street suspension. Surely will handle better than tokikos and what not, but nowhere near the FLT-A2.

I'm not sure what the Flex goes for over there but the FLT-A2 shouldn't be that far behind and it gives you the inverted monotube that your machperson so desperately wants. lol. Especially for sprited street/track use I'd take the FLT-A2 over the flex if it only meant a couple hundred bucks.

Good tire fitment. Beware of backspacing in the front. If you can please tell me the offset and width of the wheel up front. This would be good to know before you drop a bunch of loot.

Peace.

The Rims that are on at the Moment have 38 offsets and are 8.5" wide (or so it says on the back of the rim)

Chris

P.S. what do FLT-A2's go for in the US?

I'll pm you the forum deal.
