suspension
hello,
currently i have koni yellows, and H&R springs and it dropped it 1.25 inches, but for some reason it is lower than what it is supposed to be. I have seen the same setup on different rx-7's and it is higher than mine trying to figure out the problem? please help. |
The lower spring perch on Koni yellows can be set to one of three positions. Make sure yours are on the highest setting.

Yeah, what Max said:)

If youi have set the perch on it's lowest setting, you can go up 10MM in frnt and 15mm rear.. Good luck, Cartervs

Thanks for the help, but I already thought of that one and all of them are set on the highest perch. Any other ideas?

Well there are minor difference between FD Rx7s. The fact that yours sits a bit low is normal. My car dropped only an inch with my H&R springs.
Other things to check are the rubber sheets, and the rubber "pillow ball mounts". If you replaced these at the time you replaced your springs then your car should not be riding that low. If these rubber pieces are worn and compressed, that could contribute to your car's slightly lower ride height. FWIW, I replaced all the rubber suspension components on my car when I replaced the shocks and springs. If you wan to raise your car's ride height you could mount taller tires. go with 25.4 inch overall diameter tires rather than stock diameter (or shorter) tires. 235/45-17, 265/40-17 combo is nice:) |
