Striping chrome?
 
Im going to pick up some mustang cobra rims and the chrome is really shitty on them. im curious where i'd have to go to have the chrome striped....what kind of shops do that?

My recommendation, would be to hit up some of the motorcycle shops near you...as they have lots more chrome parts than most cars. They will know who to direct you to.

It might be cheaper to get some that aren't chromed than it is to start with a set that needs stripping & refinishing. Stripping chrome sounds expensive on its own, and repainting or power coating is expensive, too.

if you want to DIY muriatic acid will strip the chrome off but then you'll still have to deal with the nickle plate, and the chemicals needed to remove it isn't easily available to the general public. You could try to sand blast the nickle plate off but sand blasting aluminum can get real ugly. Any powder coating shop should be able to do the job for you. good luckl
