What is the largest diameter rotor that can be used with the stock FD front caliper? How thick a rotor will the stock caliper accept?

 

There was a Mandeville upgrade for the stock FD calipers to accept larger thicker rotors. With the '99 Type RS brakes upgrade, the Mandeville brake upgrade is rendred OBSOLETE, as the Type RS calipers ARE LARGER AND THICKER than the US spec FD calipers.

The Type RS brake set up is a much better option than the Mandeville upgrade. I have a thread set up describing the '99 Type RS brakes and the parts needed to do the retro conversion.
