Steering wheel shakes too much
My steering wheel is shaking like crazy when I drive my FD. Here is the situation.
- First I had stock rims and the car was very smooth.
-Then I put on 18" rims and had them balanced at a shop before installing them on my car. Did he do a pos job? Possible. My steering wheel was shaking too much. I never had them balanced again, because I don't have time to play with my FD.
-Now the winter is here, I put back the stock rims and it's acting like the 18" rims. The car is not smooth anymore.

Yeah I'd say do a full alignment. If all that checks out and your steering wheel still shakes then maybe one of the rims aren't balanced correctly.

Actually wait a min, you said after putting on your stock rims your steering wheel still shakes? If so then it probably is alignment. Good luck.

Get them rebalanced, thats what I'd do. Check which ones have the lowest amounts of weights and make sure they are in the fronts. If there is more than one weight on one side of the wheel (inside or outside) and its not right up against the other weight, then they arn't balanced right. (if that made any sense, haha). Also, some people just get weights on the inside of the wheel. That is called a static balance. It doesn't correct the balance completly like a dynamic balance does (weights inside and outside).

I went to my basement and noticed that one of the hub rings were missing from the Racing Hart rims. I jacked up the car and noticed that I forgot to remove it before installing the stock rims.
Pretty stupid mistake, however, my car feels great again.
