wheres the shock dynos...
|
I wasn't able to get any. Production was so behind on them they shipped to me right away. I'm hoping that CrispyRX7 will be able to provide us with proper feedback.
|
I'm Not seing the helper springs in the picture.
Are they included in the kit, or just there an an additional option? |
You shouldn't need helper springs with the separate height adjust.

Besides, that separate reservoir is not for changing ride height. |
LOL,
Helper springs don't change the spring rate either. All they do is make up the gap with shorter main springs when the shocks are fully extended—they completely compress when under load. You'll note that the lower portion of these shocks is adjustable independent of the spring perch, so there shouldn't be any reason to have spring slack at full droop unless for some reason it's out of adjustment range. But, either way, helper springs aren't 100% necessary even if you have a gap. https://www.upr.com/Eibach-Helper-Springs-p726.html |
Wow, these are almost double the price of my Zeals (which i thought were a bit expensive). Are they really that good?
|
Ummms Zeal doesn't even make a Triple Adjustable Coilover.
Your Zeals are single adjustable. Zeal Double Adjustable Coilovers are around $5000.00, A Triple adjustable from Zeal would probably be around double the cost of this coilover. PLEASE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT FELLAS. If you're a normal street guy don't even bother asking any questions. This product does not apply to you. If you're a track guy you already know what you're looking at and already see the inherent value in the price of this item. Rishie |
Life expectancy?
|
Rishie,
You stealing my thunder? ;) Crispy |
^Tell us how they are damnit!
|
As soon as they show up! I don't have them yet - in transit.
crispy |
Wow, they make them for the FC too... nice
|
Oh Crispy I had to tease you a bit. I only opened up one of each. I left the others as Bubble Wrapped Virgins.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU GET THEM. STANCE IS WAITING FOR YOUR CALL SO YOU CAN GET IT SETUP EASIER. Thanks, Rishie |
Life Expectancy????
I guess this all depends on what you're doing with the car and how well you maintain/clean your coils. Also has a lot to do with road conditions. They will last as long as any of the other Stance dampers. A lot will be revealed after these get out there more. Right now there isn't enough data to answer some of these questions. Hence the discounted pricing we're offering for experienced track drivers. Thanks, Rishie Rishie |

My apoligies Rishie, I wasn't trying to bash the price of your product. I will admit I didnt look/read thoroughly to see what they were. I was thinking they were the run of the mill stance that was becoming so popular for FDs nowadays. Didn;t realize they were the 3-way adjustables. Not a bad price for that type of setup at all.. although well beyond what I need :)

No problem guys. Sorry been a very long week. Tons of shipments and only 2 arms and 2 legs.
Can't wait for Crispy to get them. These were in fact confirmed and revalved for 10kg springs in the rear. Thanks, Rishie |
They're here!!

Got the BIG 70lb box today.
So far so good. They look nice - quality connectors. Things like SS C-clips, all anodized hardware, nothing painted or with rough cast edges.... Feel solid. One thing I will have to do is figure out where to mount the remote reservoirs in the front. The rears will go on the roll bar....the front...ahhh...ummm...well.... FWIW, Crispy https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...6&d=1273283206 |
Awesome crispy.
I spoke with Stance yesterday in regards to mounting of the front remote reservoirs. The only recommendation is to NOT DISCONNECT the external reservoir unless you have access to a Nitrogen Tank. The Valve Pressure Tool should be there shortly if not already. Obviously if you keep it connected you'll need to cut approx 3" hole so you can pass the res into the engine bay. If it was me I'd probably have to find a place I can get some gas from. Rishie |
Chris, I mounted mine like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/DSC00805.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/DSC00806.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/DSC00801.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/DSC00807.jpg I decided that notching the shock tower probably wasn't the best solution for shock tower rigidity. And opted for holes in the fender and modifying the fender liner. Whipped up some trick removable plates to allow easy access of the shock canister. Still waiting for the proper canister mounts for the strut bar. I'm not sure how you FD guys will do this without the canisters getting super hot thus changing the N2 pressure. I bought a N2 tank from Roberts gas in Fairfax and a nice N2 gauge Longacre gauge: http://www.longacreracing.com/catalo...=1036&catid=19 |

I can't remember the FD engine bay, but could you do something like this?
