Satin or Flat Caliper Paint?
Does anyone know of a Satin or Flat Red paint out there that would be suitable (high temp) for painting calipers? I don't really want the standard high gloss..
Thanks. |
I'm sure someone makes it but....flat paint is very hard to clean so as soon as you get brake dust on them you will never get them clean again.

That is probably the exact reason He's getting it in black as you probably wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference.

^ read again he states "RED"

I actually never looked I saw Satin and flat and assumed black. I don't see any reason to get virtually any other non-neutral color in a flat-type base.

I would prefer a "Satin" Red. I agree that a dead flat would be hard to clean.
And for the record you can get a number of brands of caliper paint in flat/satin black. |
Testor's Model Paint my friend -
http://www.clubrx.org/default.asp?id...ntent=37&mnu=5 I'd be surprised if you couldn't get a matte red - they have damn near every color. Mine have been painted with Testors for well over a year now - gave them a wipe down when I put new pads on, paint job still looks great. DIRT cheap, too. Dale |
