rubbing issues???
this is for you wheel and tire guru's.
i'm looking to buy the re amemiya aw-7 in 18" for my 93 fd. car is lowered 1" front and 1.25" back. the wheels are 18x8.5 ( 235/40 )front 42 offset ( possibly 41 ) waiting to find out for sure. 18x9.5 (265/35) rear with 42 offset. will i def. need to roll the fenders or can i get away with not doing them due to the size of the tires?? thanks, mike |
I see you're doing the layaway plan w/ "AndrewD", eh? :)
What's your suspension setup? |
yeah i'm gonna do it if i know for sure it will fit with no real issues... i know people say they're re-a so they'll fit but i want to know for sure.
i have ground control coilovers i bought from fritz about a year ago. they do lower the car a good bit thats why i'm concerned. |
If you have GC Coilovers, then it's not an issue. Just raise them up if you have a problem. ;)

i would love to if i could get my hands on the spanner wrenches!!! they're like gold around here. would you know where i can buy them?
thanks,mike |
|
thanks for the info, i'll try.
|
called them and they said i should be able to jack the car up, loosen the retaining screw and then turn it by hand.
sounds easy enough, lets see if it goes as good in real life as on paper. |
Yes, you can do them by hand (well, put on some gloves). You don't even really need to re-tighten the screw when you are done.
You can also get cheap spanner wrenches from race supply shops, etc. I think I paid $10 for the one I use. -Max |
thanks max,i think i'll try to get it from a race supply shop like you said because with my luck it won't turn by hand.
