RS*R coilovers...
Does anyone know where I can get some information on these, and/or purchase them? From what I read, it sounded like RS*R made a coilover... but I can't seem to find much about it online.
Thanks. |
IIRC they are just rebadged Tein's...

Excuse my ignorance, but what is IIRC?
So, if they are rebadged TEINs, is there an equivalent TEIN coilover setup that is exactly the same... or is this a unique setup? Thanks |

iirc = if i remember correctly
i have some. the RS-R coilovers that were sold in the states around 5 years ago are rebadged Tein HA and the model below that NA? (forget the model name). The HA type was rebadged as the RS-R SA. Since the HA is also discontinued the equivalent model now would be the Tein Flex. |
jeez... and I thought I was uts on all the lingo!
(uts = up to speed) haha... I appreciate that info... what are the spring rates on your RS*R coilovers? |
10/8 kg

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Tein Flex and the Tein HA?

The differences are (were) that the Flex has independent ride-height and spring height perches -- meaning that ride height does not determine suspension stroke. The Flex also has some long term reliability improvements -- teflon-coated or rust-resistant parts -- as compared to the HA. Other than that, they essentially use the same spring rates and damping. |
In your opinion, is that a big enough difference to get the flex's and pay 400 more for them?

And, you can't buy new HA anymore. |
