Recommended lowering height for FD.

How low do you guys lower your FD with coil-over suspension and 18" wheels? Right now i am runing 18x8 (front) 18x9 (rear) wheels with Zeal B6. I do have some rubbing at the front wheel well at the heigth I have right now. I guess I can preload the spring to make the spring rate higher to eleminate some rubbing, however i do not want to have too stiff spring nor having the car too low which prevent me from getting correct alignment setup.

I like to know some recommended lowering height and where should I measure the height, thanks

A very good streetable height is 25.25 to 25.5" from the ground to the top of the fender. 25" would be good if the car is only a weekender/track car.

If you have rubbing with an 18x8 wheel, then you have a wheel with improper offset, wrong size tire, or both.

I am running 400 lb springs up front with 18x8.5 +45 offset with 235/40 tires and with a 25" ride height. I have had ZERO problems with the fender lip and have only brushed the fender liners on very hard bumps.

I only rub the front wheel well ( the black platic i think) once in a while I drive up to some driveway. I think the spring is compressing too much at one corner when the car going up to the driveway at an angle. Maybe my heigth is too low rightnow. My wheels' offset are recommended from Volk catalog so I do not think the offset is incorrect. Tires are 234/40/18 and 265/35/18.

If I remember, my Zeal B6 street spring rate is 10Kg/mm front and back. Which is about 560lbf/in
