Problem with Tein Flex

I recently purchased and installed a set of brand new Tein Type Flex coillovers for my 87 FC. I have two problems:

The front driver side dampening does not stay in adjustment, no matter how stiff I set it, it seems to always work its way back to soft after only a short ride.

The passenger rear makes a weird hissing/squeak sound, and gets worse the softer I set the dampening.

Any idea why these two problems could be happening? They were installed by a Mazda specialty shop.

my vote is for a defect

So the front driver shock now stays in adjustment.. I am wondering if I was just counting wrong or it was just being weird, cuz I have not any issues with it going out of adjustment for like a week now.

However, the passenger rear still has a squeak/hissing sound. Starting to wonder if it is something else in that area like a bushing or something and the sound is just exaggerated due to the stiffness of the coilover?

I inquired about this problem to Tein, this is their response:

That sounds odd that the damping setting changes as you drive. By chance, is the 8mm nut under the damping click knob feel secured? We hope it is not loose. Also, when setting damping, y...ou are turning fully clockwise (looking down at the knob) to stiff, correct?

As for the squeaking sound, please check to see that the dust boot is fully secured to the damper covering the bump stop. In some cases, a loose dust boot will rub on the piston shaft as it compresses. While checking the dust boot, please also check under it and see that there is no noticeable damper oil at the top seal. A hissing noise is not usual. Squish type noises are typical as the piston passes through the damper fluid. This squish changes in tone depending on the damping setting, too.

If the sound is more of an internal noise from the damper, we ask that you please remove the damper first and try to compress the damper by hand a few times in a vertical position. Also try this at different damping settings a few times. If the sound is persistent, please let us know and we will try to resolve the issue for you.
