Price and availabilty of Mazdaspeed MS-01 Magnesium wheels

Does anyone where I can purchase a set of the Mazdaspeed MS-01 Magnesium wheels? And also does anyone know what price and availability is like? If there are any vendors out there that know please don't be afraid to reply. The wheels that I'm refering to are the ones at the Mazdaspeed website, here's the address:http://www.vitesse-j.com/poweraxel/m...news/ms92.html

Check out this link below (japanese site):

Price for MS-01 Mag: ~$1300 per wheel!! I would go with Fikse wheels instead at that price.

Thanks about the price, but I need to know who I can get them from here in the US. As far as the Fikse's go, these wheels are alot lighter than the Fikses, and as an added bonus, not everyone has these rims. Can anyone answer my questions as far as availability here in the US.

I would say to try checking with anyone who can import things from japan... Like maybe even as simple as contacting www.rxecret7.com , or try any other jap importer and see if they might be able to hook you up...

black99 07-25-01 01:18 PM

Also in the new augest "import tuner" mag there is a red FD with mazdaspeed wheels, not the same one's you are refering to, but anyways, in the paragraph about the car it says mazdaspeed/volk wheels, I am THINKING that volk makes them for mazdaspeed, so maybe try to contact someone sells volks...

ARD T2 07-25-01 02:03 PM

I just saw that FD at a show in San Jose last weekend. But the real highlight was Cristine Mendoza, damn they're real too. That girl is fine for being 18. They didn't build girls like that when I was 18.

Anyways, I'll see what I can find on the wheels. Might need to see if Mazda Competition can supply these to the US market. Give me a few days, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks, Rishie

Thanks ARD T2, get back to me if you get any info on them, I appreciate it.

Rishie.... Sorry about that, I should have refered him to you, but I was unsure if you could get ahold of them...

So I guess still nobody can answer my question huh?

You can contact Mackin Industries who are the exclusive importer of RAYS wheels. The MAZDASPEED rims are made by RAYS. They will bring them in but it will not be cheap. Also you can't buy direct from Mackin they will have you go through one of their dealers to get the rims. Also Eddie at Mackin hates special orders but you can try. If anyone can get them it will be them since it is a RAYS rim.

Thanks, someone finally answered my question.

RX794 08-06-01 06:46 PM

BTW I called Mackin Industries and spoke to Eddie, he told me that those rims are currently a Japanease rim only, and Mackin will not import them, he also said that they are just like the TE37Mag which is just like a TE37, but made outta magnisium. The price either way would be $1500 each, only thing is you can get the TE37Mag here(3 month wait, by order only), but not the Mazdaspeed MS01 Mags, unless you go to Japan and get them yourself.

hksfd3s 08-06-01 09:18 PM

Sorry man. The difference btwn the MS-01 and the TE37 MAG is that the TE are a 6 spoke while the 01 are a 5. Also the TE is a dark blue. You can ask Tony, (Mystic 7) he has the TE37 Mags on his car.

I wasn't sure if Eddie would bring the rims in but it was worth a shot. They really don't like special orders there.

ARD T2 08-06-01 10:12 PM

I guess you got your answer. I was told the same thing by my rep. Anyways, still doing the US volk line. I've got quite a few responses lately. It's a great price, so if you decide on something that is available over here, let me know.

I just want to service you guys as best I can. The fact that you are willing to get "real" shit, makes me a happy man. By the end of the year I will be able to carry inventory just for the forum, as I will have gained enough feedback from you guys about what is desired.

Thanks, Rishie

Good luck on finding a rim. You know, it might be worth flying over to Japan if you're willing to spend that much. It'll be less than buying a fifth wheel. hehe. j/k

I heard Magnesium wheels can catch on fire if they hit the pavement while driving (from a flat tire or something) and that if they do ever catch you cant put them out.

Any of you guys ever heard that? I have a friend that saw someones mag wheels catch on fire when his tire busted doing a burt out and they couldnt put them out, he just sat and watched as his baby burned to the ground!!!! How sad is that

Maybe theve changed something since then

Later,
