That doesn't look near as bad as I thought it would haha. I very briefly thought about trying that because I want to match my fronts to my rears as well, but I wasn't sure if it would work. You pulled it off pretty well! My only concern is it seems it lowers the fender a bit, to where you might have to raise the front so it won't rub. Can you tell much difference as far as that goes? I'd actually like to take some metal out of mine so that I can lower the front a bit more. Do you think that would be possible doing it this way?

I was going to get the 18x10.5 526 with +25 and if im not wrong the lip is a lil bit wider than 4.25 i think its pretty close to the 5" but i dont remember well, they are not bad looking at all.

I have been looking at the xxr 526 since they came out. I need some new dailey/street rims for the fd. 18x9 et35 for the front and 18x9 et25 w/ 10mm spacer in back would look good. Only problem is I havent seen them on ANY car besids the model car for the rims. Been checking other forums to find some for a while now to get some reviews.

It will be hard to find them on other cars right now since they are new, this is the time to get them IMO before they get played off, they wont look bad either since they look like the vs-xx line, i would tell you to get the 18x10.5+25 for the rear if you do get them.

Thanks, those pics are with 235/35/19 on a 9 inch wheel. I'm not using those tho, i just picked up my es 1.1.2 and going with a 235/35/19 on 19x9.5 +0

You're right it does lower the fender by a little but i don't know how it will look overall until i get tires and take the car of the jack stands. As for removing metal to lower the front more idk. If you want to remove metal and have the flared look you need to do a lot more custom fender work.

Well now that you've done this stuff, I'm thinking about just trying it myself and seeing how it comes out. Like I said before, I was planning on having the ex-Ferrari F1 body guy do them, but it's like pulling teeth trying to get a call back. Apparently he doesn't usually take on new customers, so he's pretty exclusive (who didn't see that coming? LOL) but that kind of stuff also pisses me off a bit. I also heard he really likes RX-7s though as my roommate was able to meet him and see all the cool cars he has in his shop, I guess a bunch of different Lotus' and other stuff. But if I don't hear something back soon I'm going to just start working on them myself. At least I know they'd get done correctly this time.

And I'm liking this too haha. So tough looking. I keep forgetting to ask people that have these fenders, are they metal or FRP? I thought about doing something like this but I don't want to mold on body panels. If they are metal I'd think about cutting out and welding the rear fenders in though.

c i really want a mesh style rim with a staggered fitment, 18'',275 in the back with a nice lip and whatever works in the front. this is the Ray's/advans i have on mine right now but i'm ready for a new style. i dont want to pay more than 2000 for rim's and tires. i'm thinking on the TSW snetterton's but those rims on the white fd are sick

some crazy fitment here...but i want to know if a rolled stock front fender will accomodate 17x9.5+ 24mm with 255/40 tires? i know the rear shouldn't be an issue...right?

That wouldnt be a problem specially if its for the rear, but it all depends on how low are you goin to have your car since you are using a tall tire

I have 18x9.5 +22 on the front and it's pretty much right on the stock fender, so you will be cutting it pretty close if that tire isn't stretched at all, and it doesn't look like it would be. May have to go +26 or +28 to be safe with that tire. But like Chepopain said, all depends on how low you want to go and how flush you want it. +24 would be pretty damn flush haha.

I actually got a sweet deal on it. It was the find of the century for me, brand new APR GTC-300 Full carbon meant for a late model supra for $500 lol. I autocross more than I do full circuit but this year Im going to try more of it. I actually dont drive around with it on lol, only when competing. Too much heat
