Possible FC or FC big brake setup, look at what I discovered
Ok so after searching and searching I just wanted to share the stuff I have found out. First off i own an FC so it would be great to get an FD owner to experiment with this as well.
Ok so we all know that the EVO calipers are a bolt on to an FD or FC hub, we also know that FC and FD calipers are interchangeable but the rotors are not since the FD uses a slightly bigger rotor then the mounting point for the caliper are pushed out some.
We also know if you search the forum you will find that there are two people who made their own discoveries/kits such as the Mandeville and for the FD using the g37 brembo rotor and Evo 8 caliper that goes mounted infront of the hub instead of back like stock, which MIGHT work on an FC if you use the Evo 10 caliper by the way.
The problem lies with the offset of both brake setups, they push everything toward the outside (toward the spokes). After learning this I thought well what if i found a brake rotor that had a similar offset to the FD or FC that way maybe we can use the evo caliper BEHIND the hub like stock calipers. Upon searching I found that there basically doesnt exist a rotor that has the same or bigger bib diameter hole of the rotor like the FC.
BUT I did find a rotor with a very similar offset only 1mm difference toward toward the wheel spoke from stock. which would make finding a caliper or making a bracket MUCH easier. So without further delay let me introduce to you the rotor which might be a hidden gem under our noses.
2015 MUSTANG GT BRAKE ROTOR. 355MM 32MM WIDE AND AN OFFSET/Height OF 64MM FC is 65mm I think not sure don't have the sheet on me, it also has the same 5x114.3 only difference is it uses m14 instead of the m12 studs which wouldn't be much of an issue if you machine the hub hole to center everything, Mustang hub hole is 71mm compared to the FC 77mm which isn't far of.
Excited about this discovery I rushed to my autozone and bought one rotor and grinded the center hole to fit the FC hub, and it's a beautiful fit except for the grinding of the mock up rotor and the oem dust shield won't work for obvious reasons

Also IF anyone wants to know the brake caliper mount bolt spacing for an EVO or RX7 its 6in from center bolt hole to center bolt hole, and guess what?!
The sn197 mustangs 07-2014 i think.. they use the same 6in caliper mount bolt spacing from center to center as well as the S550 Mustangs from 2015 and on.
Note that the calipers are both brembos but different though, the sn197 uses to me the same brake caliper as an Evo 10 they look the same, as in the caliper and mounting points are more separated that the Evo 8 would be. So I ordered a Sn197 brembo caliper from a 2014 mustang for my 2015 s550 mustang rotor. What I found out as well was how Cheap the sn197 caliper was, 80$ lifetime warranty from autozone plus 30$ core. A1 cardone P/N 18-5129. When my part came in it was even painted in high temp paint.

I've started a very similar swap, but I'm using the Mustang spindles. the 2005-2010 Mustang spindle has the same ball joint design as the FC and bolts right up to our control arms. I paid $100 to Fortune Auto for their 2005-2010 Mustang lower coilover mounts so they'll swap on to my coilovers and bolt right up to the spindles. It's probably a little more expensive and involved than you're swap since I'll also need different tie rods, but it's completely reversible. I'm also using 14" GT500 rotors/Brembos. I think I'm about $500 all in using OEM parts, including calipers.The Mustang hubs/spindles are a lot beefier than FC, obviously. I'm probably adding a decent amount of weight, but also getting more robust spindle/bearings which can sometimes be an issue with FCs.

I ran into brake fade issues now that I'm making more power and I have a v8 turbo with a heavier auto trans. The car has a solid rear so I was thinking if I do run into that proportioning problem with the rear I can just add another caliper back there since the granny's speedshop uses a simple bolt on bracket. I can still brake at an 1/8th mile track but street pulls became scary with the brake pedal getting hard all of a sudden.
anyways here are more pics.
Tight fit but with these billet specialities i had to run a spacer even with my stock brakes. Now the brake moved toward the spoke like 1/8th in. Only so it could work with most 17in wheels
A simple bend of the tube fixed this issue.
Here is the real issue,pros: this is how the caliper sits centered on the rotor, it looks like a simple plate of metal with two holes drilled would work with a washer or two going on the lower hub, the caliper and hub are threaded.The cons: even touching like this the caliper still needs to go more inward since the mounting points of the caliper are spaced farther away than a evo8 caliper.fix would be either shaving one of the side till its good or finding an evo8 or 2015 mustang gt caliper

I returned the 2014 mustsng brembo caliper and plan to buy a 2015 mustang gt caliper, they go for around 200$ for the set used on Ebay which is still a better deal than evo8 calipers out there. The 2015 gt caliper has the mounting bolt holes closer to the caliper than the 2014 mustang. I just wish I had a pair of evo8 calipers laying around to also see how that would work and to see the difference between the mustang calipers.

^ Correct. The Evo Brembos have 40mm/46mm pistons which are is a 43% increase in piston area over the stock front caliper 36mm pistons.
The Mustang Brembos are a 40mm/44mm and area 36% increase over stock. Also, the corresponding larger Mustang rear caliper has a 42.8mm piston which has a nearly identical front/rear piston area as the OEM FC brakes.

Sorry man no update on this, just been enjoying the car for now and waiting till I move out which is soon so I can start messing around with this. I do have the 2015 mustang calipers in hand already and got the disc brakes as well
