Pics of Mazdaspeed MS01 Wheels on FD
I have searched on here and on the web and Im looking for some good pics of the MazdaSpeed MS01 wheels. They look nice and I would like some pics of them in different colors. The pictures on the rays website are quite small.

|
It's one of my fav wheels. But, too damn expensive.
|
Damn bro, Ive been looking for some pics of the wheels to help you out, but I cant find anything either. I think its a myth or something :(

These it? I took this pic at the RXecret7 BBQ 2 months ago. A local rotor head has these on his car. They actually look pretty sweet in person.

u guys are confusing the 02's with the 01's.
5 star are 01s, and the "Initial D" rims are 02s |
^^ yeah it got me confused about that

There is a place in Denton Texas that has a couple of these, not a full set, for $170
"29093 Mazda RX-7 FD3S Wheels/ Rims RAYS MS01 Mazda Speed, no center caps $170 " Here is their contact info: Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 12:00pm 1:00pm - 5:30 pm (Central Time) Local Number: 940-382-0313 FAX Number: 940-383-2034 E-mail: Contact Us Warehouse Address 9074 Teasley Lane Denton, TX 76210 I called on them already, but was looking for a full set. I thought I'd just update this ancient thread in case someone was in the market for some. Here is the inventory link I found them on: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?k...Bg&output=html |
Wtb!
Hey Linenoise you said that it cost like only $170?? Why so cheap? Anyways...I know this is an ancient thread and all but me and my friend are gonna go to Japan and are gonna try to look for the Mazdaspeed MS-01 MAG rims...I know it's crazy but we believe it's worth it. But the thing is we don't know where to look at. Can anyone give us some pointers? Thanks!

the yellow FD above has the MS-01 wheels. Those came on the FC i believe. The MS-01s, which are the SECKS, are on the red FD posted above. They are a one peice wheel, where as the MS-01 looks to be a 2.

very nice, Looks very smart in yellow.
|
Thank you.
Anyone know of a cheap way to get these rims refinished? |
Love That Rear Wing!

Hello everyone,
You guys seems to be missing some MS-01 multimedia material lol :D This is why I decided to share some pics of my car with those great wheels on. Please excuse me to post so many photos, there's so many to show I cant decide wich  So here's my car 1 year ago (without molded bodykit and some extras...) with the original Mazdaspeed MS-01 wheels on. http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/rx71.jpg http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/rx73.jpg http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/MS01.jpg http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/274386__22828.jpg And here's my car in 2008, last summer, with brand new pearl white paint, molded bodykit and gun-metal painted MS-01 wheels. http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/rx7_2008/IMG_1225.jpg http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/rx7_2008/IMG_1245.jpg http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/rx7_2008/IMG_1247.jpg Night Shot http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/IMG_5540.jpg Rolling Shot http://www.jlmultimedia.net/pics/BBQRx7019.jpg By the way these wheels are incredible. They are forged (seriously these are invincible), 2 pieces, large and sexy :D Just for the record, many probably already knows that, they are made by Rays Engineering wich also make the Volk Racing wheels. Finally, these exact wheels will be for sale this next summer. I will be posting all details here in the appropriate section when time comes. But if someone shows interest for them sooner I will be more than happy to provide more info. |
That's a nice transformation. Even though I think wingless FD's are ugly.
But I was wondering.... Why hasn't anyone ever put the Effini badge on the lower part of that bumper.. seems like the perfect place http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/2...qrx7019qo1.jpg |
Hehe it would be a good Idea. But I like my car badgeless, stickerless etc. I personnaly asked when we did the paint job to have my car *shaved everything*. Now all badges and stickers are gone, along with the antenna and rear wiper.
That is a very special personnal taste tho, it doesnt suit for everyone :P This bumper btw, is a Chargespeed front lip molded to the oem bumper with enlarged turn lamp hole to fit 99' spec turn lights in :D Back to topic, those wheels are awesome! They are very rare in North America but they seems more common in Japan tho. My car is right hand drive and was imported from japan. I've seen at least 3-4 other FD / FC imported from japan here in Quebec with those wheels on em.. |
Yep, seems to be the case.
My FD is imported as well and guess what rims came on her? lol |
oh. and how much were those headlights? I like them, but something tells me they're gunna be like a redickculous amount of money.
|
The official Knightsports were about 2500 with HIDs. But there's some replica here and there on the web for around 900 bucks.
Mine came with the car when imported here!! Lucky me :D :D |
haha. That IS lucky!
So when I visit Canada... will you cruise with me? lol two RHD FD's.. I've never seen so many in one place at the same time! |
by the way, is that a yellow fd in the last picture?

So where were you guys with these pictures at like 5 years ago when I started this thread? (07-29-04, 09:45 PM)
Now that we have pics I might just have to buy another fd to put these wheels on. |

MS01's you say? Well, they're a bit tattered and faded, but hey, refurb is next on the list after I sort the fuelling.
No stretch hate please :D Attachment 718823 Attachment 718824 Attachment 718825 Attachment 718826 (Yup, I know I suck at photography! :D) |
Niiice FD with MS-01s !!!!! wow your rear lip is way deeper than mine! What is the width of your rear wheels?
Mines are 9.5 inches wich half the lip you have, yours must be huge? Hey and, I see that you don't have the center-caps on your wheels. Did you remove em on purpose? Cause if so, I'd buy one! Im missing 1 center-cap and been looking for one for a while now.. Thanks! |
Cheers dude :)
I didn't get any centre caps I'm afraid :( The wheels were a bit of a bargain and it was one of the reasons why! They are 10jet45's on the rear, 8j et38's on the front, running 225/45/17 RE070's all round. In most of the pictures they are straight fit, but the last one is running a 25mm bolt on on the rear, I've got a 15mm slip on to go on the front but I haven't got round to replacing the studs and rolling the rear lip, so I'm running without at the mo :) |
Got any plans for her? Also.. Why are only your rear tires stretched? |
Cheers man :)
Plans are mostly stock body, she's now fully polybushed, I'm just pushing the limits of the twins really, trying to make my ultimate fast road car :) I've only stretched the rear tyres as the fronts are only 8's, so i can't get a reasonable width tyre on them with a stretch, it'd have to be like a 195! The 225's were also very cheap so i just stuck them on as a temporary measure, I'm going to run a 235 of 245 888 on the rear. These are just going to be track rims. I've got some 8.5/9.5 Panasport G7's which I'm going to get some new lips made up for to run a 9.5/11ish fitment :) That's the plan, anyways. Ideally I'd like another pair of MS01 9's to run on the front though. |
