the PERFECT wheel offset !

i did a search already and i have found out a lot of you running different offsets even when the wheel sizes that you guys were running were similar. So i cnat really decide which offset should i go with since the results were diverged.

I am looking to get a set of Desmond EVOs. What is the ABSOLUTE BEST/PERFECT OFFSET to run on 17*8 front and 17*9 rear with no rubbing issues at all.

Also, IF i ever decide to get 8.5 in the front and 9.5 in the rear, what would the PERFECT offset be for those wheel size?

Thanks for the help guys.

Ted you're so funny. It's too bad a lot of people don't realize how simple it is to figure this out.

Usually every one uses an 8.5 and 9.5 on FD. I would say between +40 and +45 offsets front and rear will be fine for either of the widths you've chosen.

This is all relative to the tire sizes you want to run as well.

Ted,
was that some sort of clue or equation to getting the right offset for a 8"/9" ?? or were you jsut making fun of newbies?

ARD,
does it mean that the higher the offset, the further out the wheel would sit? and vice versa...
