P-Zero Nero for our FDs?
I have been looking for new tires and came upon the pzero nero's. I searched the forums and only found a little info, no one has them on the car.
I want a great tire, but something that lasts longer than say 10-15,000 miles (I hear that about the bridgestone S 03's) or does tire life depend on how you drive the car? Does anyone have P zero Nero's? If so, I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks also I found this tire rack link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...rf_charts.html and it seems they are very comparable to the S03's |
I don't know anything about the Pzeros, but I do have the S-03's. 285/30-18 on all 4 corners. They get great traction. I am gonna need new tires in a few thousand miles. So far I have put 12000 on them. I will probably get these again. And I would say I drive very quickly around corners.

Wow, the Pzeros look like they did pretty damn well up against the S03s....be a guinea pig for us :)
Any high performance tire is going to have less tread life than a touring tire. You have to give up something to get more grip. |
hmm... Can't say anything about the Nero, but the P-Zero Asimmetricos are fantastic. From the write-ups, the Nero offers better response due to wider tread pattern and less tread deformation.
If it's as good as the Asimmetrico, you will love them - sounds like they might even be better. get 'em & let us know how they work out. ;) |
I think I just might do that :)

Damn, limited sizing on the Neros. Pirelli just waiting on consumer interest to release more sizes? Falken Azenis all over again ....

OMG these tires f'ing own! I haven't had much experience with high performance tires (only Pirelli supersport 7000) but these tires own the hell out of my old crappy Dunlop SP 5000's. They rarely squeal around turns, I can take 90 degree turns sooooo smooth and it just grips. Gawd these are one hell of an experience. Don't know if any better or worse than the S03's.
Also, the guys are Kauffman Tire are telling me that when they tested the tires for road force that they reported 44lbs (not perfectly round)! He said he has seen this before and once I get them nice and heated up with a few hundred miles on it they will smooth out. So im going back in a week or so. Oh yeah LOL, I have never made myself nauscious in this car until I got these tires!! :D :D |
