Online tire and mag stores!

I found only 2 online tire stores and want to go shopping for some better prices because i need to get some new tires but i also wanted to get newer bigger mags for my 89 RX7

I was looking at 17 SSR Integral and Bridgestone RE730

the stores i found are
www.tirerack.com
www.tires.com

Tirerack has the SSR Integrals...and I've always thought their prices on tires to be rather good. Not sure of any other general tire/rim sites though, besides all those specialty, bling-bling type of rim manufacturers. ;)

I got mine from www.TreadDepot.com
limited selection, but they had the Toyo RA1's and gave me a great package with Konig rims
the rims were $30 cheaper EACH than tires.com
and they did'nt charge for lugs (Tires.com did)
their sales people arn't the brightest, but if you know what you want, you can save some $

9 x 17 SSR Integral A2s in 45-mm offsets, $289 each. Yokohama AVS Intermediates in 255/40-17s, $103 each. The Bridgestone RE730 is not as good as the old tested and proven Yokohama AVS I's. I just ordered another wheel/tire setup to carry around as a full-size spare. My Type RS '99 FD brakes will not allow the US-spec mini spare wheel/tire to fit over the larger brakes! The '99 Type RS mini spare wheel is over $300 and the mini spare tire is not available. I thought...might as well carry the full monty tire/wheel around;)

SleepR1, can you tell us where you found those prices?
Also do you have a pic of your car with those rims?
Thanks,
Ring Steel

ring steel,

Sorry no pics yet...

On second thought, ring steel, check out Kyle Bacon's silver beauty with 18-inch SSR IA2s with 255/35--18s all the way around. No rubbing issues with either setup, and Kyle has Teins, while I have H&R Sport Springs and stock R1 Showa shocks.

The tire rack is by far, the best online tire store in my opinon. Not only are there prices tough to beat, most of the salespeople actually know what they are talking about. They also carry just about every decent tire made and usually have things in stock. Of course, if you're buying wheels, especially for an FC, you should PM Rishie (ARDT2). He will know all the correct sizes and offsets for FCs and many people have been happy purchasing from him.
