Omochi's FD - 17x9 +17 225/45
We test fitted some of my CR Kais on Daryls car (omochi)
17x9 +17 with 225/45 tires front and rear looks good, i think a +15 or +10 will fit real nice has -2 camber rear has about -1 camber up front the front will fit real good with -2.5 / -3 camber for suuure i think better sized tires like 215s will fit real nice and can allow less front camber if u like these were fitted for gangster daily driving, cr kais are NOT gangster but are ur basic wheels, i hope he buys my Advan RGs 17x9.5 +24 the 9.5s fit PERFECT up front the rear could use a 15-20mm spacer run 235 front and 255 rear for tires on those RG's tires i have no tires on the RGs so we didnt take any pics he still has his enkeis for track but we got a good idea of what can be done FD's can fit lots of wheel and a good offset, iunno why u guys insist on not running cool shit. all we plan to do is roll the rear and keep it stockish body flush rims, slammed, full purpose look gangster on the daily and then for track attack hes got higher offset rims with fat rubbers pics: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/DSC04239.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/DSC04240.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/DSC04243.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/DSC04241.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...0/DSC04244.jpg ya i know kumhos look ugly n shit fuck it gunna slam it on jams when he gets some coils will be pimp with my RGs on this rig, gunna vie for the best lookin FD aroudn hahaha and thats sad cause its only gunna be low with nice wheels HAHA :balls: PS BAD angle on the front, its not at all mexican, the rim sticks out about 5mm, so a degree of camber will line it up to the tits |
Got any side and 3/4 views?
|
+1 for emo's on an FD, looks nice.
|
Whatever floats your boat. I think stretched tires and wheels sticking out past the fenders looks stupid. I wouldn't call that "fitting". Besides, in most places it's illegal to have the tires or wheels out past the fenders.
|
sorry no other shots
i let daryl take the pics he wanted of his car they dont stick out past the fenderts its the shots that make it look like that emos are alright, basic wheels and they do the job of being good spares and look decent :) i think sunk in wheels looks gay a proper fitted wheel with fat tires looks the tits too daryl has some rims with fat tires before and they make it look mean too on another level |
Those wheels do not fit at all...They stick out past the fenders, and your running no bigger tire than you can run on a stock wheel, and smaller in the front. There is no point in buying wheels to stretch, if your going to go bigger, get some offsets where you can fit some rubber under them. They dont look to bad from that rear view, but very unfunctional...

ok it seems u rx7 owners have a problem with reading
the shots that were taken, THEY DONT STICK OUT PAST THE FENDERS we did this to test fit for DAILY fitment, these are NOT FOR RACE i said he has his higher offset wheels with FAT rubber and for the millionth time, its not how much rubber u have, its how much power u have and what the restraints are for that rubber running a 295 on a car that makes 200hp is retarded i know FD's make what 255 stock ... u know what... just read what i wrote and maybe your ADD wont kick in right away... only reason 225s are on there is thats cause they are my wheels and tires and thats what was on them at the time, i drive a s13 with like 200hp they do me just fine |
^^wtf are you talking about???
pics show them sticking out past the fenders. power is useless w/o rubber to give you traction so you can put the power down. i'm not even going to bother typing anything else... |
hi
he said before its only the pics and angle that make it look like that. and he's saying its pointless to run super big rubber if are not or you don't plan on making more power. at any rate, i think they stick out a bit too much too. flushness is relative to who is looking at it though, so whatever. |
I just dont see the point in upgrading your wheels and going with stock width rubber. That said: the look great.
|
they do not fit. they stick out past the fender. there is NO POINT in upgrading your wheels to something wider if you're not running wider rubber. tire stretching to fit a wheel with the wrong offsets is just a waste of money.
no matter how many times you say "it's the way the pics were taken!" you're still wrong. There are at least 3 pics of there that we can see the wheels outside the fender line. |
dood
i own 16 wheels does it look like i give a fuck if i buy rims to just stretch tires? its the look we like these are for his daily driving, its a look that he likes as well as i do. his track wheels are high offset and with FAT rubber do u know how to read? its not like u only have to own one set of wheels they are there for style just as much as performance whats wrogn with looking nice (own views, yours dont agree with mine) the whole purpose of me posting these pics was soley to show those who are on here that this is what this size and offset looks like on a fd if you like stretched tires and low offset rims this fits stock body i come from a background where we roll and flare stock body and add camber for performance just as much as for looks, u gotta find ur balance i agree the front does stick out - LIKE I SAID IN THE FIRST POST, i said u add camber to fix that, fuck man Rx7 owners have a massive reading disorder its like 5mm, for every 5mm a degree of camber adds or subtracts my definition of flush is rim to 1/4 panel or fender, NOT tire edge when u slam a car and the rim is in line with the fender, thats the style i like having rim to 1/4 panel flsuh on a non slammed car looks retarded we are doing a ruff fit cause hes getting coilovers and will adjust his height to his preference its that simple, im not saying YOU MUST DO THIS, thats retarded to try and adjust ppls styles of fitment just dont go telling me they dont fit - all relative to pref and a 225 is legit on a 9wide wheel look at the tire manufacturers specs i like 215s on my 9s, these 225s were cheap i drift, and for my power and balance of my suspension, i love them and how they react in fact running my 215s in front and 245s out back wheni was doign some auto x my car was very neutral with a slight bit of understeer. try new stuff before u mock the shit out of it u ignorant monkey hugs n kisses baby ;) |
Oh gawd, here we go again...

i see wheel spacers! were they used on the wheels?
|
I'm with RETed, I'll never be convinced that a fittment like this "fits" or "looks good".
|
Wow, this section is being totally over-run with this stupidity.
|
i think it looks good.
if you post it just to show people how it looks, fine. it's stupid to get into defensive internet shouting matches over it though. |
This guy tries a different offset/tire size than you're used to that he happens to like and is happy with and you guys call it stupidity and tell him it's a waste of money?
By that logic every single person on this forum running any part that doesn't offer performance enhancement is stupid and is wasting their money. 99-Spec front end conversions, tail lights, wings (most, not all), aero kits (most, not all), etc are all stupid and are wasted money? He already said that they're just for cruising and not for track use. Who cares if he doesn't have optimum performance on a set of wheels that are used for daily driving? You shouldn't be racing on the street anyway, so as long as he puts the track wheels on when he goes to the track, it's all gravy. I think low offset wheels with stretched tires looks good as long as it isn't taken too far. Example - too stretched https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...d221af31dt.jpg -Mark |
right intention, wrong approach. :o good job chris. lol.
in any case, to reiterate, it was merely for test fitting purposes. i'm looking to get a more aggressive fitting wheel for street use because i just absolutely hate the way my RPF1s sit aesthetically. yes i do realize the fronts stick out and no i wouldnt run them as such. however the rear sits pretty nice imo, and i could probably run a wider tire in the back too. oh well. we'll see. nothing to get your panties worked up in a bunch. |
balls
im doing 215 on my 10s and 235s on my 10.5s :ky: |
Actually, what I find funny about this thread:

thought he was just talkin about the 1/4s, ppl call 1/4s fenders all the time
the fornt shot wasnt taken good either but it sticks out 5mm like i said in the first fuckin post, then i said camber fixs this, 1 degree and it would be fine reading problems again? |
Lots of camber also fixes the problems with tires lasting too long.
