I have a 19x10.5 et +15 does adding a 10mm spacer make the offset +5 or +25?

I'm confused
Not trying to open a discussion, but wouldn't this actually increase the offset?
What I know (if correct), is that positive offset means that the centreline of the wheel lies between the hub's face and the outside of the car. If you put a spacer in, this would move the entire wheel (and therefore its centreline as well) towards the outside of the car, thus increasing the offset. I was told (or I read) that a spacer can only reduce negative offset or increase positive offset. Please, Mahjik, could you clarify, I am not buying spacers, but I'd like to be corrected if that's the case. |
Never Mind
Never mind, I just woke up.
I realized that it is the opposite of what I said. Sorry |
