so will 18x9 24 offset fit with 235/40 front and 275/255/245/40 fit in the rear on stock suspension? if you think ill rub on hard cornering then its ok because its just for DD. would coilovers help because someone on the forum is selling a set or can i get awasy with stock? im also planning on adjusting my AAS to full stiffness.

+24mm is gonna stick out a little bit, but depending on tyre/stretch you maybe pkay. It may rub under hard conering. Coilovers will indeed help your "flex" and rubbing issue depending on which model. I like tein RE's, but there stiff.

Do they make a 235-40? or do you mean 45? I had a 235 on my fronts, but it was very very close and I had to run a 2m spacer for assurance. I raced that car on the Solo-2 thing and honestly once the 235's wore out I stuck 225-45 Hoosiers on and I could not tell a difference unless it was cold out, and cold meaning an auto-x in October (40-50deg F). I would stick with a 225-45. Unless your Michael Schumacher on a real race situation I don't think it'll matter much.

Whoa!!! sorry I mis read your post. 18x9's up front??? thats way to wide and you will have all kinds of issues. Stick with an 18 x 8.

Look about 5 replys up ^ Its the silver 91.

I'm loosing my mind. Your right 18's come in 235-40. sorry

Don't get 18 x 9's up front period. waaaaaaay to wide. I'm not an 18 guy unless its a sedan. I'd stick with 16's or 17's

i thought you were running 18's. well i got a good deal on these wheels. almost free. i know 18x9 are wide thats why i wanted to stretch tires but dont know what size. i know someones done it before.

running lower diameter then stock means low profile correct? so would that be an option?

thanks

There was barely 1/4" of space.
So, I wouldn't go anything more than a 10.5", +15.

Using that as a guide, with the 10.0" wide rim, I dunno how you can go deeper than maybe +20.
Someone claimed a 10.0", +24 fit no problem, but I cannot confirm that.
The numbers states this is impossible.

I put money a 10.0", +35 will not fit in the back.

I know you are tired of this tread by now but I only have one question for you and that’s it....
You said that you HAVE seen an 18" x 10.5" with a +9 offset and a 295 in the rear with no rubbing. My only question is was the tire itself inside the fender or was it sitting flush with the outer edge? If it was inside did the guy have to roll the inner fender lip, I only ask this because my car is lowered and I want to know if it will clear the fender lip.
Thanks in advance RETed

18x10.5 +9 w/295 would need ALOT of negative camber to fit in the rear, with the fenders rolled.

I just put on a pair of 18x10 +18 w/235/40, had to roll and pull the fenders slightly. With no camber adjustment just lowered, maybe 1" from rims lip to fender... the rims stick out about 1/4" but the tires are flush, i still plan on pulling the fender little bit more.

offset calculator
http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html
10.5 +9 will stick out +15mm or 9/16" more, compared to a 10" +18

darksider, i'd go 225/40 and 235/40 but you could fit 235/40 on all with no problems, probably need to adjust camber up front, though. I'm running a 215/40 on a 18x9 +18 and i think the tires stretched too much...camber plates are almost maxed out up front.

i might post some pictures this weekend...

i test fitted the 18x9 24 offset with a 225/40 tire and it misses the struts by like 1/3 to 1/2 (YEY!) of an inch sitting on the ground. do you think thats enough leg room for bouncing? the fronts stick out the fender no more then an inch. i locked it on both sides and it cleared the everything. CHEA!!! i think i could clear 235 no problem and even 245. thanks for the help everyone. BIG UPS TO RETED.

I'm planning on going with the 5zigen FN01R-C (17x8 front and 17x9 back) but don't know what offset or tire size to get.

The 17x8 is offered in a +25, +35 +43 and +48 offset while the 17x9 are available in +15 +20 +35 and +43. (someone might wana double check the page and make sure i'm reading it right, i'm assuming 1780 = 17x8) http://www.5zigenusa.com/main.html

I like the look of this http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2347805 vehicle and wanted to go with a simular wheel look. Can someone help me out?

I tried pulling my rear fenders some more today, i'm real close to gettting them to fit with out rubbing.
Is there a way to adjust camber in the rear?
I don't want to pull it anymore, i just need a little bit more camber.

after looking at my front wheels some more, i wouldn't recommend using a 235/40, thats pushing it...225/40 must be close.

-B-: There's no way to adjust camber on a stock car. For the rear you need a camber adjuster rod or some individual camber adjusters. But you need LESS camber not more. Tires that big are expensive, and unless you do something to take some of that negative camber off, then you'll tear through tires in no time. Do yourself a favour and raise the car up, it'll help solve rubbing problems, and will decrease the negative camber.

The only other option to keep your tires from dying every other week is to not drive the car. Then it's totally pointless.

toby's mazda: If you can't get an ideal offset it's better to get a higher offset than ideal, that way you can space them out to the ideal offset. If they've got too low of an offset there's nothing you can do about it.

-B-, whats your exact set-up for the fronts and rears (wheels tires and offset)? did you roll, or pull the fronts? what about the rears?

DAYM YOURE RUNNING CRAZY CAMBER!

rolling is the same as pulling correct?

I'm still lost on to which offset to choose and what tires would fit that combo.

DAYM YOURE RUNNING CRAZY CAMBER!

wheel specs are...
18x9+18 215/40
18x10+18 235/40

Rolling is just rolling the inner lip of the fender, pulling is actually pulling the fender out, without flaring them.

The fronts are just rolled, camber plates are set to maxxium negative camber.
Rears are rolled and pulled, I was able to get about an extra 1/2" doing both.

to figure out fitment...
this is a good guide, check here first
http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

the offset calcuator useful too...

For the front I'd go with the 17x8 35mm offset, they should fit, but a small spacer might be needed. For the rear, going from RETed's page, I'd go with the 17x9 35mm offset.

-B-: You got 10" and 9" wide wheels and put 235's and 215's on them? Why? You could have easily fit them on some 7 and 8" wide wheels and had no fittment issues. You could have even gone with wider tires with no problems, but your choice to get such wide wheels has caused you these problems. 17x8's in front with 225-235's and 17x9's in the rear with 255's would have been much easier and would have given you more traction. I guess you must value looks over funtionality, and that's something I don't.
