You are good then. Those won't hot the wheels or tires.

I know I already posted a thread about this but figured it would be more useful here ( in hindsight ). I have a 1991 FC with turbo II calipers and am looking to fit BBS rims that are 16x8 et 25. Is this doable and what is the biggest tire size I can run without rolling the fenders ?

Without rolling the front fenders and with no camber 16x8 +25 will limit you to a 205mm wide tire.

I think you will need a 5mm spacer up front to clear the 4 piston brakes with the Crown Vic wheels.

Better to use 195/50-16 then if not rolling the front fender lip.

Here is a link to a thread about the Crown Vic BBS wheels. Looks like most people are using 205 up front WITH camber from coilovers and a rolled fender lip.

Missing that edit button.

I did some digging for you.

You are right, the usual Crown Vic wheels come in 16x7 +0 offset (double lip) and 16x7 +5 (single lip).

These are 1990-94 Lincoln Mark VII
factory BBS wheels 16x7 +25 offset

People commonly add an inch to wheel sizes as they measure the overall width instead of the nominal tire mounting (bead to bead) width.

Now we know more then the rest of the forum about these damn wheels- they all get lumped in as "Crown Vic Meshies" around here it seems.

Yea, I researched on the FC wheels pics thread, this thread and googled but no luck. Pic shows 8Jx16H2 just wanted to know if anyone out there is running this size. Going to pick them up tomorrow. If it takes a little work to make them fit that's okay,as long as its nothing to major.

Picked up the wheels and just did a test fit. Wheels are sticking out a bit, will test fit the tires off my OEM FD rims which measure 215/55/16. The rims cleared the turbo II calipers with no issues. Looks like I will need different wheel nuts or the longer studs though.

From personally experience your going to have to roll the fronts pretty good . I'm rocking 15x8's with a -12 offset . I had to go flares

No chance of fitting good sized tires on those. Stretch away.

225/45r17 on a 17x8.5 rpf1?

I have Michelin pilot super sports on some crap wheels that I hate right now and I was thinking about buying some new rpf1s. The tires are 225/45r17 and the rpf1s that I found are 17x8.5+30. Will the tire be okay to transfer to the new wheels? Also will I need spacers to fit the wheels?

On the stock body I have the front fenders rolled, but was only able to "SAFELY" clear (I know this isn't considered safe by any means a 205 tire on the 17x9.5

You might need a 1/4 inch spacer in front.. Or a wheel with lower offset.
