Fronts will fit with the fender lip rolled under - depending on your tire size. Rears will need a flare - again depending on your tire size.

17" x 9" +20mm offset (+15 to +30 will work) with 255/40/17 in back

I'm particularly interested in the 5Zigen FN01R-C wheels which I think just match these values.

Note: after further research, I have learned that RETed's wisdom of matching the tire width with the rim width is actually considered a very good theory on handling improvement and is recommended by some guy who wrote some book that I am too lazy to re-research right now. Let's not digress the thread with who it was, but just to say that, yes, it appears to be very solid advice indeed.
Definetly going to try this

Trading some wheels and need some quick advice. Will 235/45/17 on 17x9's fit all around with some minor work (rolling)? Car has coilovers and camber bar. Thanks in advance!

Tires are coming with them and are brand new so I would rather not buy new fronts.

I'm looking at picking up a set of Enkei's and they are 17x8 +35 upfront and 18x9 +38 on the back with Nitto NT555's all the way around. Currently the rear wheels have 255/35/18's on the back. I would like to in the future put 275/40/18 NT555's on the back. Would those fit with coilovers and rolling the inner fenders?

I like the meaty fitment looks manly. 17x9 -7(corrected) 235/40/17 and 18x10 -10(corrected) 255/35/18 setting at the fenders.

i can possibly lower it another inch or more, but in my area it would be kinda hard to drive.

Take wheel off and look at inside part that butts up to the hub on the car. Should see a two digit number....for example 25 or 30

Unless its a 2-3 piece wheel. Because that's when it becomes hairy. If I'm right. Because both my last two sets of wheels were originally like 7.5"-8" and now they're 10-11s. That's when you need a true expert

measure width of wheel and Divide that in half. "x"

Measure hub to back of wheel. "y"

y - x = offset

Are you a wizard?

Just as a clarification here, offsets are stated in milimeters... so if you measure your wheels in inches, make sure to convert the number to mm at the end.

18x7.5 +45 offset motegi ff7's , 215 35 18" falken ziex 915, tanabe gf210 lowering springs, tokico blues, rear fenders are rolled (by previous owner)

will be putting 225 40 on rear soon, I bought the wheels and tires used.

spacer size and wheel stud replacement recommendations?

I was thinking 1" longer wheel studs on back as well as spacers.

idk if the front really needs it?

what I feel I really need is coilovers, but what should I do for now to improve my fitment until then?

So how about some 17X9 +35s with 255/40-17's?

I picked up a set of Fortune Auto 500 coilovers and noticed the front spindle mounting ears were pretty long. I test fitted my old Enkei RPF1s and found that they did indeed clear the coilover bodies. After a bit of motion testing and some relatively minor fender modification, it fits!
