What's the most you can fit in the front with no overfenders and using coilovers, 275 with a lot of pulling?

What wheel specs would allow that to fit?

 

The problem up front is that a 275/40-17 is a tall tire and with the FC front fender shape you can't really roll or pull it so that you have enough room for the tire to move up without hitting the fender with the +20 offset needed to clear the suspension on a 275.

The shape you need to have any suspension travel would be like the panspeed add on front fender bit where it bubbles up to meet the top inside fender arch line or add a +30 fender.

Still you would have limited suspension travel as the tire would hit the actual tread surface along the top of the inside fender arch.

However, if you are talking about a 275/35-15 Hoosier for auto-x then you could do that on mutilated stock front fenders and coilovers with lots of camber on a like a 15x9.5 +20 or even a 15x10 +10. Your suspension travel will still be limited by outside tread hitting the fender edge unless you use something like the $69 panspeed arch @ corksport.

From what people have done on this forum- you can choose to do it with stock looking fenders like I do (lip rolled under) on 17x8.5 +30 or a more aggressive roll/pull with a 17x9 +25.

 

17x9 +15 will require aggressive roll and flare.

you will need 5mm spacers for the +28, and you'll do fine with a roll and MAYBE a slight pull depending on camber angles.

 

'87 TurboII with MazdaComp coilovers (ie. KONIs with Ground Control) and E-Production bodywork. EP sized (23.5x9.5x15) slicks on EP size (15x7) wheels aren't going to like the horsepower. I'm trying to figure out what will fit under this bodywork and clear the suspension. I'm hearing 15x10 or 16x10 with 0 offset will fit. Anybody tried 18in diameter and taller tires? (That'd put the wheel/tire up closer to the spring and perch on the front.) I'd like to try and stay inside the body work (about 2" wider in the front, 2.5" wider in the rear) but I know the stock 16x7s with 225/50r16 V700s rub on the front and would need a 1/4" spacer, about 1.5" of clearance inboard in the rear...

Ideal is looking like 15x10 275/35r15 or 18x10 285/30r18 depending on clearance and maybe what gearing I want...

 

tri point fenders help big time with clearance issues and some peices removed from underside

 

anyone know what this setup looks like? have a picture perhaps?

front 17x8 + 32 with 235/40 and the rears are 17x9 + 38 255/40

I want to put 19 inch rims on my widebody FC... 12 or 12.5 (if I can even find them... and tires) I have 45mm widebody fenders on my FC3S, and I'm trying to figure out...1 - does it look good to have 19's on an FC and 2 - what offest should I run to get maximum deep dishness???

No you'll be fine. MIGHT... need a spacer in the rear.

 

ive got tanabe lowering springs. do you think they'll clear the springs?

 

0.offset 16x8 in front will stick out way2far.. .
it will look just fine in rear but you need + offset in fron you can get same matching wheels Like i did XXR-002 picx in album .
1.5" Lip in front at 38.mm..offset , and 3.5" Lip in rear 0.offset
with tires 225/45/16 front and 245/45/16 rear . A.. . perfect Look but finding rear tires in that size is rare expensive but to me well worth it .

 

yo im running volk te37 sl's 17x9+22 in front and 17x9.5+12 in the rear and they fit perfect! i forgot my tire size though but they have a nice fit there not super sunk in but dont poke too much

i had 17x8+35 and 17x9+35 5zigen fn01rc's and they were super sunk in and looked horrible but yeah thats my opinion

 

Looking to run 15x8 -13 with a 225/45/15 anyone know how this may fit?

 

Currently have 18x8 +35mm and 18x9 +45mm on my FD, would like to put them on a 90 vert, will these fit without any issues?

yep. rear fits wider wheels/tires with higher offset. 25-30 front, and 35-40 rear is ideal for stock fenders.

 

Front might just clear ((with coilovers)maybe) but both will be very sunk in.

Im running:

F: 18x9,5 ET15 (ET20+5mm spacer) 225/35-18 Federal 595
Comp: 18x8 ET35 BackSpace = 1 mm (0'') deeper

R: 18x10 ET15 225/35-18 Federal 595
Comp: 18x9 ET45 BackSpace = 17 mm (0.7'') deeper

Front wheels are really close to the coilover (not possible without spacers)
Body is untouched.

If you have both cars available try them on, then measure what spacer you need easy peasy.

Just curious, will a 17x8 rims with 245's with +30 offset fit? and will they rub?
