The Official FC Wheel Fitment Thread
Because of the stock +40mm offset on the rims the limit on tire width will be the inside sidewall hitting the spring perch or the spring coils (lowering springs) just as with stock rims.
Some 225 will fit some will be wider and rub.

10-0 pokes out an inch in the rear, same for the front its plenty of room to clear the spring.
I just rolled the panel in the rear and matched the angle of the tire stretch. Front is the same 15x10 +12 and 20mm fender, rolled the finder to match the stretch and messed with the camber (for style I guess)...

So I changed my mind again about rims. I looked up the weight of the FLC-01's today. 22 pounds. That's double the weight of my vert rims. Not alright. So I'm reverting to my old idea for wheels: Motegi MR125's. So I was thinking:
16x7's, +40mm offset (5.51" backspace) on 205/55/16's. These I trust to fit.
or
17x7.5" +42mm (5.86" backspace) on 215/45/17's. These I don't trust as much--the site for fitment says +35mm is max offset for 7.5" wheels, but that's with 225 tires, and I'd be running 215's. Will there be fitment issues? I don't want them rubbing or sticking out, I just want them to fit as close to OEM as possible.

Yikes, hater-ade must have been on sale at your local supermarket. I hope you are as adamant about those hideous mazdaspeed ms-02's.
I wouldn't personally run any wheel that necessitated a 195 width tire, but to each his own.

So my +42's wont fit. Without spacers anyway, and I don't want to run spacers. At least, I'd rather not. Found that answer in the 150-ish page range. (Yeah...I've been reading all of them.) Bummer. So, anyone know any good, light, relatively cheap all black rims? I know EDR9's and all that, but those aren't quite what I'm looking for.
Mine? Uh..nothing too crazy. The Enkeis with wheels and tires were gonna be about $1,100 and the Motegis were about $1,500. So anywhere in the. Nothing more than about $2,000 though.
Well, I've found the ones I want and I'm not changing my mind again (I hope), as these should fit fine. If I have to run a tiny spacer, then fine. But I'll test fit them first.
Wheels: Konig Backbone (Matte Black) 17x7.5 +35mm
Tires: Hankook Ventus V2 225/45/R17.
Anyone see fitment issues with these?

For some reason guys on this forum and many other forums think that if they state there negitive opinions on something they don't like. The other person is going to magically stop their whole build and start over. If you want to make a difference so bad get off of this forum and make it in the real word for people with real problems. Stop trolling the forums. Shut up....
Ahh, as i suspected then, thank you for your answer. BTW the wheels that i was looking at were Work Equips, but i think i will pass on them then. A little to low offset for me.
If someone could get back to me on these fitment quickly I would be very happy.
I am planning on running a square fitment of 17x8 +25mm FN01R-C Hot Version's.
I was planning on these tire sizes: 235/45/17 for all 4 rims
Has anyone had experience with this set-up? I have heard from a few people that the front's will have trouble fitting with that size tire? I would like to avoid modifying the fender's at all. Let me know what I'll have to do or what size tire I will need.
Ps: I will be running Stance Gr+ Coilover's when I install the rims/tires.
Thanks

so, I'm looking at getting a set of stock EVO IX MR wheels and they're 17x9 +38.
I have been looking through this thread and it seems to me that will work on the rear, but not really on the front.
My question is, what would I have to do to get them to fit? spacers? rolled fenders? or am I just dreaming and they'll never fit up front with that big an offset.

Get a 15-20mm spacer up front to clear the suspension, with coilovers. Then you'll either need to roll the fenders, obtain wider fenders, or run more than -2.5deg of camber up front to tuck the tire, depending on the width you want to run.
The rears will clear just fine, but you may want a 10mm or so spacer to replicate the look you have up front.
