Hey Bridgepulse,

I have since changed to 225/60R15 & 295/50R15 Mickey Thompson Street Radials. These are some pretty serious rear tires. They bulge off of a 10" rim.

Also I'm using a 3/8" (10MM) spacer in the front and a 3/16" (5mm) spacer in the rear. Front rim was hitting caliper, Rear tire was hitting lower control arm.

I also added some 240ZG style flares front and rear to cover the wide rubber. Definitely had to cutout my fender underneath to fit.

Not many guys in here running 15"s

15x10 with 6.25 backspace and 265/50R15's
15x8 with 5.25 backspace and 195/50R15's (using .25 spacer in the front to clear caliper)

I plan on going to something liek a 225/60 in the front and a 295/50 in the rear after rolling fenders.

I know that there are way nice better stuff out there but i just want some traction and for something street driven it still handles decent. Running the stretch on the bigger sidwalls really helps.

I'm just barely getting into the wheel/tire buying game. I recently lowered my T2 ~1". Used Tein springs, then realized they rub, bought spacers, so nowI run on the fenders even with some rolling (stock wheels/tires). So I just ordered a set of RB srpings, and it should be about the same ride height I believe.

My idea is this -

Fronts - 17x7 +40 with a 195/45/17 tire
Rears - 17x9 +35 with a 225/45/17 tire

Think that would work, and the stretch wouldn't look too ridiculous? And I could avoid most, if not all, rubbing?

How much fender issues will I have with 1" drop springs running this setup?

Front: 17x8 +27 with 225/40/17
Rear: 17x9 +27 with 245/40/17

I'm fairly sure that those would fit up fine, no fender or suspension issues. Get a second opinion though.

Fronts will need to be rolled and possibly pulled a little. I think the rears would probably need the same. Wait for Maczpayne to chime in, he seems to know wheel and tire setups pretty good.

I'm already rolled. Don't know how to pull, so I guess I'll have to figure that out, without making it look like shapoopie.

i'm looking at 17x9 +24 on all four corners, and was wondering how well would these fit (i got GC sleeve overs). also what's the biggest rubber i can run (willing to roll and maybe slight pull). looking to keep front/backs the same so i can rotate if needed.

I'm basically decided going on the same set-up as you to dude. Running 22 offsets though and will be running coils. Someone knowledgeable on this subject want to chime in?

235/40 possibly 245/40 (you will need to measure) in front with some negative camber (-1.5 degrees or more) and a fender roll. 255/40 in the rear. You can run up to 275/40 out back if you want to roll and pull and don't run the car extremely low.

With coils you can fit 235/40s in front with an agressive roll. The problem is you can't run any camber with coils so the tire may rub the fender liner sometimes.

You WILL NOT need a pull for that setup. Rolled in the front is needed, a rear roll is probably not even needed.

Should have no issues if your fender lips are rolled. Pull is not needed.

You can run 255's all around with 17x9 +24, but it will be a very very tight fit. Make sure those wheel bearings are tight up front - or else they will kiss the coils. If you're running lots of camber at the track, you can get away with just a roll and slight pull. For around 0 camber, you'll need more pull. Those running +22mm or lower offsets will have more suspension clearance, but will need more pull to run the same tire.

Could you post pics with the ZG flares?

Thanks for the info LargeOrangeFont and MaczPayne. I got new bearings sitting here, waiting for my bushing kit to arrive so that i can get it all done. I'll probably play it safe and go 245/40 on all four corners.

Will this clear the stock suspension components up front?

17x8 +25 Offset and 225/45/17 tire

Might end up doing this on all four corners

I'm 90% sure it'll work, just want to be sure. Thanks dudes.

Should work fine, may need to roll the lips up if your car is lowered.

So all in all, what is really the largest accommodation possible without any fender rolling? (Not hella flush, but spacers are ok) I'm not even sure this question is workable due to the huge variety of combinations available but any answer would be appreciated.

My fenders aren't rolled and I have 17x8 +35 in the front with 235/40/17 tires and I wouldn't go any further because my front left grabbed the fender lip and pulled it down a little one time pulling in to shine auto. A 225 tire would change that though. As far as the back goes I couldn't tell you.

Just bought myself some Work Emotion CR Kais 17x9 +28.
I bought them to run on my Rx8 which will run flush, but i was curious how flush they would be with my FC. the tires can be changed but ordered them with 245/45s
My FC is lowered on Stance coilovers and running about -2 degrees camber.

Let me know
