well that depends on how low of an offset you get... depending on the offset you can get either or...

i'm trying to figure out what offset would be best right now, which is the main reason i posted up here. i would have to be in the negative offsets wouldn't i?

thanks

You'll wanna go with a slightly negative offset wheel for that. I was just doing some rough calculations based on the fitment of my 17 x 10 +18 wheels, that clear the inner stock suspension. My backspacing works out to be 145mm, in order to maintain that same inner clearance, which works for me, you'd need to go with a -7.5mm offset. So, you may need to go higher, I'd look for -8 to -15mm offset. This will leave the outside of the wheel sticking out about 50mm further than mine (which fit with stock rolled/pulled fender), which is about 110mm to 120mm further than the stock wheels.

You'll need as large of an overfender as possible I'm thinking. 50mm may do it, I don't know what the lip/shape of the inside of those kinds of overfenders look like.

It's also possible that you can get away with less clearance depending on your rear suspension, maybe someone else has experience with running less backspacing with some other rear suspensions.

Thanks for the information!!
My rear suspension is stock with the exception of the Tein coilovers.
I just looked at Summit Racing and anything with a -12 offset in 15x12 is way more expensive than i was looking to spend. I might have to check other options.

There is so much fail in this thread. It started out with lots of information now I want to go outside and torch my FC.

Next we're going to need a tire fitment thread. No you can't put 185/20/21 on a 15" wide rim

You'll have to roll and slightly pull the fenders to get it flush.

Should fit with a fender roll and front camber.

Well, I struggle with definitions, but what you're saying is functionally you fail to interpret sarcasm, but realistically you struggle with most forms of civil social interaction?

Both sizes are too narrow. You may need a small spacer in the front. Try for 255/40.

I have been reading this thread for aobut 4 days now....and i still cant figure out if the rims i am thinking about getting will fit. summit racing has some Cragers that will match the John Deer Blitz Black paintjob very well!
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3975812/

as you can see 15X8, 4 inch backspacing, and a -13MM offset. for $42 lol. Any who, im trying to keep the stock diamiter, while going wider(i would like my spedo to be correct, the car is an 86 sport, with 5 5 lug from the factory, and stock sport wheels. also... im another guy trying to get rid of the "hippo on stilts" look our cars have with the tires sitting inside the fender so deep.

also, im lost as far as what tire size will fit, and if it will be better to stagger my rims, 15x7(maby 7.5?) fronts and possible 15x8(9 would be pretty nice?)

im really sorry for posting a noob question, but i simply just dont have the time to figure out what will and will not work. been trying to get the answer for about 4 days and im starting to think im just retarded when it comes to rims/tires lol

thanks for putting up with me guys

Did you ever get these to fit in the front?
What coilovers are you running?
What tires are you running?
How much camber are you running in the front?

What are you running in the back? I ask because I'm trying to get the measurements for 17 x 10 with a 275 tire running as close to the suspension as possible.

6/30 for a night, then possibly beginning of August.

For 8.5 I like 245.

Your best bet is getting some custom offset wheels from US Wheel. (www.uswheel.com) almost any tireshop can get them. They are relatively cheap and you can get the fitment you want. You will mosl likely need a .25 spacer in the front with any steel wheel if you have the 4 piston calipers which I'm, assuming you do.

I have 15x8 fronts with 5.25 backspacing, and 15x10 with 6.25 backspacing. You will need a decent roll and some stretch to fit the rears.

I have flares and am going to put the 10's in the front and run some 15x12's with 6.5" backspacing in the rears with 295/50R15's.

Hope this helps.
