The Official FC Wheel Fitment Thread
it definitely took the guess work out of it. i can be hella confident in the fitment of the wheel now. its just up to getting the wheels, but i think i am sold on the color... so i think whatever wheels i get may get the green treatment lol.
check the new thread... there's already a bunch of input in there...

Alright, I think I'm ready to buy rims. I do not want to modify the body at all. This is what I've put together so far after looking through this topic a couple times.
Front: 17x8 with an offset between 25 and 35 and a 225/45/17 tire
Rear: 17x9 with an offset between 15 and 40 and a 255/40/17 tire
I have a loose understanding of offset at this point.
If I had to choose between a 35 and a 15 offset on the rear, which one is better?
I can get the front in a 25 or 35, which would be the better choice?
Thanks in advance.

Front: tried 17 x 8, +20 offset with 235/45/17 tires and they stuck out about 1/2" too far. Rolling the fender allowed the tire to clear but they still looked funny (to me, at least).
Rear: Same 17 x 8, +20 with 235/45 tires...almost perfect. Very flush fitment with no clearance issues. Could probably have gone with a 255 if I wanted.
Currently running 17 x 8, +30 offset w/ 235/45 tires.
Very good front fit, rear could use a bit less offset but not bad.
A note about the +30 front wheels...steering response markedly improved.
Can't say how much was due to tire brand and how much was the change in track, but there was a noticeable change for the better.
Much less oversteer and crisper initial turn in (I have a manual rack, if it matters).
When I first bought the +20 wheels, the rears had 275/40 tires mounted and I ran them for about a week. The tires stuck out a bit too far but looked totally bitchin'.
Unfortunately, my wheezy NA took a definite performance hit with such a heavy/wide rear tire...acceleration suffered.
If you're primarily interested in the look, staggered tire sizes are the way to go.
Performance-wise, I think smaller same size tires actually work better- and you can rotate them.
Thats my car....lol.... they will fit perfect with a front pull and a rear roll/small pull. You'll have to run a 215 40 up front and a 225 40 max tire for the rear. It would look amazing though. You'll have to play with camber settings.
This is razmus fc. he runs a 17x9 +0 all around. A 17x 10 +20 will be sunken in -7 degress.

I can get a fair priced set of Borbet B's in 17x8.5 +13mm. I'd like to run 225/45 tires on stock style suspension.
I know they'll clear the front struts and the rear will fit fine too, but can I get away with a fender roll in the front or is it gonna need a pull? I can dial in a little bit of extra neg camber (limited though, camber bolts). Will it work?
