If rims from other cars is your thing why don't you look at the old skool fire bird rims there gold web spoke deep dish polished lip check them out and you should look at old skool muscle cars with there deep dish rims. Anything above 16s will do you good

Simple question for someone to answer .... I have 17x8 +35 xxr 006's all the way around. I'm looking to get some wider rears for of course a bigger lip.

17x9 with +20 offset. How close will the 17x9 come to the fender with that offset?

OR

18x9.5 with +35 offset.
Will the 18x9.5 with that fit on stock suspension? If not how about 18x9?

I'm running 17x9 +24 all around on 255/40/17. You will definitely need coilovers. It is a VERY tight fit.

You will need wider fenders with +15mm. You can get by with a stretch though under stock fenders. +25 is ideal, but will rub depending on what coilovers you have. Some allow for more clearance than others.

here is a photoshop of the g35 wheels on the FC vert:

Name: SMALL-RED-CARWHEELS.png
Views: 495
Size: 1.66 MB

i actually jacked up each end seperately and took a picture with the wheel on teh front and back, then took a pic of the car, and then got someone to cut and paste the wheels on the proper spots, so teh brakes inside the wheels are actually right...

PS the back is a bit high, because i had jacked the car up with the handbrake on, and when i lowered it it did not settle, until i released teh brake.

unicorn squad, can i fit a 18x11 on my rig with a 30 mil over fender?

Figured you are the only one to ask since every one else seems to be running bread truck offsets.

^^^ Pretty sure that you can't run 0 offset. i asked and got that answer, and i was still curious, so i bolted one up to see. 16x8 w/ 0 offset stuck out on the back like 1.5" outside the fender. did not bother to lower the car just stuck it on, used 2 lugs took funny pic, and took it back off. no way you can get 0 offset to work without wider fenders, and they would have to be very wide...

Baseball bat fender roll in front, With a degree or so of negative camber, there is no rubbing ever. I have a bit more camber in these pictures. Rear does not rub at all, and I have not rolled the rear fenders.
I have BC coilovers and there is a half inch between the rim and the coilover body in front.

Since my question got ignored a couple posts up ........

17x9 with +20 offset. How close will the 17x9 come to the fender with that offset? What about +35 offset? Apparently I can only get +35 in gun metal but according to xxr they do produce the +20 in gun metal.

OR

18x9.5 with +35 offset.
Will the 18x9.5 with that fit on stock suspension? If not how about 18x9? I will be running stance coilovers within the next year.

TE37, 17x9 +22 F 17X9.5 +12 R. 235/40 and 245/40.

Stock arms all around, no idea on allignment (assuming its OEM specs), lowered not nearly enough on S-Techs and Tokico blues.

Coilovers, roll F&R, and a lil bit of front camber should do the trick. These wheels cleared suspension with miles of room in the back and maybe 1/4" in the front.

I would think either would fit the rears, wouldnt worry too much about clearing suspension back there its more the QP than anything else.

If you have 17x8 +35 now, 17x9 +20 will be .5 inches and 15mm closer to the QP, so ~27mm, or just over an inch. Check your wheels now to see if you have an inch of gap, Im sure you do or you could roll the rear if need be.

Likewise, 18x9.5 rears would be .75" wider on both sides. Could most likely get away with both.

If you want something visual, check out this wheel/tire sizer, it helps a lot for Q's like this:

http://www.wheelsmaster.com/rt_specs.jsp

Put in your new and old specs, grab a ruler and go to town.

Looking at buying some new wheels. I've seen varying opinions and charts on what offset is optimal for the width of wheel I'm looking at. I thought I'd ask to get some opinions again. From what I gather on the reference link here http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm +22 would be ideal...but then I've also read on here the closer to +35 the better. Here are the wheel sizes I'm looking at with the available offsets. I'm running stock suspension (will upgrade eventually) and I am trying to avoid rolling fenders and having a wheel that sticks out past the fenders.

front: 17x8.5 +22, 30, 38
rear: 17x9.5 +22, 12, 38

also for tires on an 8.5" wide in the front would I want to run 225/45/17? I thought the 225 might be a little stretch and if I can fit a 235 it'd be a better fit

im putting new fenders so I already rolled them before i primed them, I dont want to touch the rear quarters
I got them mounted, went with a small spacer in the front, still have PLENTY of thread for the lug nuts, I think I ran the thinnest spacer they had.

This is a 17x9 +22 front with a 225/45, 17x10 +18 R with 275/40 (<--lame)

He rolled the lips for sure but thats no big deal. If youre running stock suspension Im sure the fronts would clear easily no roll.

Rears are the killer. IMO I wouldnt get wheels until you lower it some and get over rolling your fenders

15x9 Forumula Mesh with 275/60 ET Streets. Should it fit?
ITs a 28" tall tire.

Well I'll probably end up lowering it after I get the wheels cuz I'll bother me. At least this way I'll know how much I can lower it. I guess I'll go with the +22 if that's gonna be my best pick from those options. I figure if I'm gonna buy new wheels I might as well get the best possible option for fitment. Thanks for the input on tire sizes
