NPG Bridgestone coilover

Hello,

Does anyone know anything about these coilovers (someone is selling a set locally)?

I can't seem to find much on the internet about them (they seem to be coming from Japan).

Thanks,

There are 3 types of NPG Coilovers that Bridgestone made. Depends on which one.

They use KYB Shocks and Minebea (NMB) Pillowball/Uppermounts. I knew a friend of mine with an R32 GT-R that had these coilovers, the quality of the mounting point welds is ok (not the greatest), but these were $1600 dollars new.

I have heard decent to good reviews about the handling as i have never driven on these, but i hear you can't go really low on them. More for performance than anything. If they are shot or need servicing, finding a place to do it might be impossible. Mainly because KYB shocks seals their shocks (non-rebuildable), and if these are anything like our old Tanabe SS Coilovers, once they are done, they ARE done. You need to buy the exact shocks used for it, and chances are you need to contact Bridgestone for it (if they even sell these anymore).

I see, thanks a lot for the explanation. I am looking for ~8kg/mm (Front) and ~6kg/mm Rear so it seems that these ones are a bit too stiff.

I have just started to poke my nose in the suspension world but it seems like I won't find coils with that rate. Most likely it'll be Teins S spring with Koni shocks (your point of view on that is welcome too).

Thanks again,
