no front compliance after install of new steering rack ?

I installed a new AtomicRex steering rack, and I had to drop the Tri-point front swaybar to do the install.

Alignment went well (used Howard Coleman's dual-purpose alignment specs), but at the track, we are noticing that the front suspension has no compliance, and it seems like it's riding on the bump stops.

We're going to add a tie-wrap to the shock-rod to measure it's movement, but we're wondering if there is anyway that re-installing the front Tri-Point swaybar, could be contributing to no front suspension compliance.

I am running 475-lbs. front springs on M2/Advance Design Coil-overs.

Thanks,
:-) neil

Are you using bronze bushings with the TP bar?

Did the TP bar swing freely through the full range of motion before connecting the end links?

Getting the TP bar aligned properly so that it does not bind takes a little while...

Admittedly it would take a lot of binding to affect the rest of the suspension that much, but it's probably worth checking if you are using bronze bushings.

Found out that the swaybar was mounted about 1/2-inch more rearward, so the link on one side was out of alignment (no pressure when sitting on level ground).

Fixed that, and she finally has compliance and turns-in!
