Need help with rim size on Widebody
I ordered the Re widebody from rotaryextreme and now have the task of finding rims that will fit. I have tried searching other threads, but some of the responses don't make sense, or don't really pertain to what I need to know. So here it is, from what chuck tells me I will now be able to support a 2 inch wider wheel in the front and back. I wanted to go with TE37, but the widest they come in is 10.5, but I can get a 0 offset, would that bring the rim flush in the back? Anything would help guys.

You need to provide exactly how much width the kit adds to each side. W/O that info, nobody can calculate anything for you.

The kit will give me 2 more inches to play with.

What I will now need to determine is the width of the tire you would like to run. Make sure you take tire diameter into consideration.
What diameter wheel do you want? Thanks, Rishie |
Well, the TE37's largest size is 10.5 so I'm going with that. It should work, because I can go as low as a 0 offset. I am running a 9.5 in that back right now with a 35 offset (i think) and it is perfectly flush. So I gain another .5 inch (with a 10.5) with another 35 mils (lets just say another 1.25 inches) so that brings me to 1.75, which i think will be close enough. This means that I will still be able to tuck the wheels into the fender wells. Are my assumptions correct?

Here you go.

no, I already saw that thread, I want to stay with the TE37, and they don't come in 12.5, although those are some nice rims.

Sounds fine if the body kit adds exactly 2". |
Too big a space inboard, though. I just hope it doesn't look like one of those roller skate cars with wire wheels and wheel arches ;) I'd go with Kandy suprA's wheels (hee hee) :)

What is the backspacing on the BBS rims? How much are you asking, and what tires? Carl

I think I misunderstood, I thought diyman was selling his rims. Looks nice though. Carl
