BACKWARDS! +35 offset will move the tire 15mm closer to the fender and further from the suspension vs. OEM +50 offset.

You're right, thanks ZDan for the correction!!

Greg and Zdan,
So my front , 18 x 8 et 35 with 235/40/18 should fit without fender rolling and coilover, right?

Thanks.

The first time you turn into a driveway and it catches a fender it'll do some damage, roll the fenders, it's cheaper than a fender repair!

Is there any way that I can see pictures of your rims and set up because americastire is getting me completely new sets for me. I kind of go with my first route, which is tsw valencia as you are. I want to see the rear wheels have flush spokes. Also, they want me to pay the difference between konig lace and valencia, but with valencia the total comes out around 1600! Can you also confirm me that the fitment without fender roll with coilovers? I really thanks!

silverTRD 06-13-15 10:42 AM

15mm closer to the fender is not a problem on an 8" wheel. 15mm comes to about 9/16". The question is how low is your ride height? If you're slammed you can catch liner.

Don't have time right now for pictures....I’ll take some tomorrow....TSW Valencia wheels; front 18x8 et40 with Nitto 255x35x18, (I would go 235x40x18 on your car) rear 18x9.5 et40, Nitto 275x35x18. This fitment gave me the closest diameter to stock(25ins), I had already rolled the front fenders, and lowered the car about 1 inch (Eibach springs, R1 struts), I didn't roll the rear fenders.
I've driven the car two weeks now, hit bumps, RRX'ings, driveways, pot holes and never rubbed anything, or bottomed out. From looking inside there seems to be plenty of room for coil-overs and big brakes. So with 235x40x18 fronts you should be ok without rolling the front, but I would recommend doing it anyway just to be safe.

GreyMotors 06-13-15 01:07 PM

I ordered
Tsw valencia 18 x 8 et 40 with 225 40 18
Tsw valencia 18 x 9.5 et 40 with 275 35 18
The system at americastire says it will not fit, but greg already fit on his fd, so I ordered.
I am crossing my fingers to fit those with stock body with coilover for the next.
Wish me luck.

Forgot to mention the Discount tire package delivered to my door, mounted and balanced, was $1520, with rebates it came down to $1350.

Kk, too late,,,, ha ha
I already ordered as you replying to,,,
I am just kidding.

Thanks for the confirms! That really relieves me!

I got silver with mirror lips. My ride is 93 R1 vr.

Thanks again!

I got a deal from them as 1400 out the door. I paid 50 more than you, but they swap the konig for me to go back to valencia. My mistake was to have 18 x 9.5 on front.
Thanks, again!

They gave you a good deal! I'm sure you'll be OK with that fitment....if you can I would roll the front fenders anyway, nothing worst that catching a fender turning into a drive-way, it can cause some damage, it's easier and cheaper to do it now, be safe!!
Just realized I can't get you any pictures, the wheels are being painted gun metal.....I got the silver with the polished lip too....they look great, but I've always liked the BBS LM gun metal wheels...just not the price...$900 a wheel!! You'll like the staggered look on the car!! My cars a '93 R1 also.

Pictures are fine, I already ordered,, kk.
Gun Metal is what I wanted too. Even I was considered nubergring for the color only, not the looks.

Thanks!

Anyone in here running a good track setup with feed front and rear fenders? I've been reading so much this morning that my eyes hurt, but I'm still as clueless as when I started. lol.

My car is LS1 swapped, so I need rear traction, but I also want to be able to do autocross/grip stuff without having my wheels smash into the fiberglass fenders and crack them. Could someone point me in the right direction as far as width's and offsets go? The only grippy looking car with the feed kit I've found specs for is herblenny's. Thanks!

EDIT: The wheels I'm thinking about so far

front: 18x9.5 +22 Gram Lights 57DR (255/35/18)
rear: 18x10.5 +22 Gram Lights 57DR (285/30/18)

BLUE TII 06-24-15 03:04 PM

Since you can run 18x11 +45 with 295 front and rear on rolled stock fenders why would you consider running anything less with a +30mm widebody?

You are basically limited to 295 up front only because no one makes a wider tire that isn't taller than 25".

You can and track guys do run a taller than 25.3" tire, but you have to run you car high to prevent it from rubbing all over and still modify things so it doesn't rub (take out plastic fender liners, trim back of fender *not necessary on Feed*.

So you can run 18x11 with +20 to +45 offset with 295/30-18 both front and rear or go up to 18x12 +20 to +30 with a 315/30-18 in the rear.

If you want to make it work you can run 18x12 +20 to +30 w/ 315/30-18 front and rear, but it sounds like you want something you can bolt on and run.

front: 18x9.5 +22 Gram Lights 57DR (255/35/18)
rear: 18x10.5 +22 Gram Lights 57DR (285/30/18)

Sure- that would work fine.

Front-
That fits to the fender side exactly the same in front as the 18x11 +45 w/ 295 I run up front on stock rolled fenders. You might want to put a 25mm spacer on it to flush it out with the +30 fender.

Rear-
That fits to the fender with about 2mm more room at the tire to fender than 315/30-18 on 18x12 +30 and stick out anout 15mm further from the fender at the tire than the 18x11 +45 I run on stock rolled fenders.

Great reply, I appreciate it. I guess I didn't realize that the feed kit would allow me to fit such wide wheels! Could I move up to the 18x10.5 +22 all around with a 285/30 then?

Yep. You will probably need to run some camber up front to tuck the tire into the top of the fender. With all that grip you will want the camber anyways unless you just daily it.

basednick 07-23-15 08:29 AM

Here's what I'm thinking now:

Feed Fenders (+25mm) Advan TC3 18x10 +35 285/30/18 squared, with a 5mm spacer to bring it out to +30.

Why? The diameter of this setup is pretty much exactly the same as I have now (17x9 +35 on 245/40/17). This means almost no ride height gain, which is good because right now I'm running a 25" ground-to-fender arch height, and I want to keep it there.

It'll also be square and rotatable, They'll be ~17mm closer to the fender than what I have now. Maybe not the flushest setup, but I'm honestly not too concerned with flushness.

In comparison to your setup, Blue TII, it'll only poke out 2.3mm more than your current setup which fits on stock body, I'm hoping with the feed widebody I'll have enough room to fit these all around without having to make any changes to the suspension. What do you think?

BLUE TII 07-23-15 10:28 AM

Why on earth wouldn't you just do the 18x11 +30 Advan TC3?

It centers the tire in the same place as the 18x10 +30.

After some driving with my new setup, just wanted to chime in. Im running a 18x9.5+35, that I had widened 1" which I believe would make them 18x10.5 +47. Using 285/30 Dunlop Z2 star spec all around. (10mm space in rear just for looks). Set ride height to 25" to fender lip in the front, 25.25" in the rear. Zeal function Xs coils 9/8 spring-rates. Still running front fender liners, rolled fenders. I have experienced zero rubbing so far with this setup with some spirited street driving.

This is the superior set up to run with that offset.

Wider wheels provide better mechanical grip. They also offer more grip when the tire is slightly stretched, (wheel width wider than tread width). Bonus on the offset being perfect for what you want with a 18x11 +30mm offset.

I am running 18x11.5 and the extra width is noticeable in terms of grip and stability under bracking/turning/etc.

Kk, Mazda Speed!
I got it from ebay. Those are stickers that I put it on the tsw center caps.
It pops out really good.

Don't you have front tire rubbing the liner issue?
