Lug Nuts?

Just got some wheels and i need to pick up some lug nuts, what type do you guys run? Is their a big difference between Muteki which are $40 and the work or volk lug nuts that are close to $140? Also whats the difference between open and close ended? Any brand that makes it harder to steal? Well thanks for the help as always.

I like mine. They is pretty. They also have a lock and a washer that rotates so you dont scratch your wheels up. They are kinda pricey though.

I have the project lugs. Very nice, but also quite expensive, If you have a nice set of wheels, i would get some decent lugs

McGard
http://www.mcgard.com/automotive/

They supply wheel locks for the OEMs.
Their lug nuts should also clear your wheels. I don't see a reason why they wouldn't.

I have a friend that had the Muteki. The lugs...well...the heads on them stripped pretty badly, so I wouldn't recommend them.

Those Project Kics NEO Chro ones are nice looking.

Personally, lug nuts will only slow down a determined thief. They are fairly easy to remove, if you know what tools can take them off.

Price out the McGard and use that as your baseline for comparing other brands. But stay away from Muteki is my advice.

I use Mcgards also, they are very nice. I have also used Muteki and IMO they were junk, and I bent(twisted) the removal tool twice. The Mcgards quality is top-notch, I really like the bearing on the end to prevent scaping of the wheel, and being able to apply even torque. I think I picked up my set for ~$85 shipped on Ebay.

Do it! You know you wanna

I've had the Muteki lugs for a few years now with no problems. I probably change my wheels more aften than the average person as I run a different set of wheels for the street & track. Never had a problem with them.
