I have a newly painted 94 to IBM with 99 spec parts...

I am debating wheels and am thinking about some volks...

what do you think would look good with the paint? I think the silver would be good but "standard"....what about the RMC?

1) Rays Metal Coat (RMC) this would be unique as I don't think I have seen it here in the states

2) Mercury Silver?

I am considering selling my volks and getting something gun metal for my IBM.
I think anything is going to look good though.

I think the RMC would look amazing on IBM. Your right, mercury silver sometimes looks too plain, and the RMC just spices it up and looks a whole lot better.

ahhhh good to have opinions...

I just have never seen a car set up like that except for a black porsche with gunmetal wheels...it just looked MEAN.

FD3boost, what rims are you looking at? I love the LOOK of the HRE 840r's but can't stand to pay that price or know that there are other lighter wheels out there.

The Volk MAG series looks impressive...and I would hope the weight reduction would be substantial...the looks on the other hand aren't to my liking

I like se37's and BBS challenge right now. Bronze or gunmetal. Something darker.

tough call. i agree that the silver is a little plain. i also think gunmetal isn't quite the right color for ibm. the tones don't mesh well. is white out of the question for you? even black (preferably flat black) would be better than gm if you like the darker look.

Just tell me which choice you want to win in the poll and I'll make sure it happens

Looking forward to seeing this thing some day. Some of us actually drive our FDs all the time

that's about it. i don't usually see mesh wheels on fd's here. in the end my opinion doesn't matter anyway. i was just wondering if you thought about those other colors.

Silver! GM, like black, is fashionable but will look dated eventually. Silver will always look good. Just make sure the spokes are not polished (Yeeech! Too much like chrome).

mesh isn't popular??? Is it a classic 5 spoke that gets put on? Thanks for your opinion though.
