How much wheel can a 4 bolt FC take?
Well when I got my car it came with some freedomdesign 16" x 7.5" rims. They had some worn 205/55/R16 tires on them.
I went back to some 195/65/R14 on stock wheels and noticed a 4% increase in torque. Which was real nice, but I feel like I can't turn anymore. For the summer I'd like to get some new rubbers on the 16s. :D My FC is a 4 bolt. I'd like to get some 225/45/R16, to maintain the stock radius but I don't know if the 4 bolt suspension can take that? Also will it rub? http://www.sfu.ca/~echapman/RX7/whl_0022.jpg |
i ahve my car lowered 1.75 with intrax springs and have ran 18/215's all around no problem

I have a set of gunmetal Ray's Engineering Gram light 57C's that I brought in specifically for the 4 lug FC. The fitment I got is amazing:
17,7.5 front 17,8.5 rear This will allow for a 215/45 front and 245/40/ rear. This was specially ordered three months ago and we have them in stock now. I can do an incredible deal on these if you're interested. http://groups.msn.com/AutomotiveRD/s...to&PhotoID=920 http://groups.msn.com/AutomotiveRD/s...to&PhotoID=921 These wheels only weigh 16 lbs, FYI. They are lightweight. |
These will not rub. The SE model follows the same fitment recipe as the rest. The only shitty part is that it's very difficult to get a staggered setup for that car.
This is the ideal setup for that car. especially on a N/A. |
sorry im kinda late replying and this may seem really dumb but how did you fit the 14'' rubber on a 16'' rim
|
oops i didnt read the stock wheel part
