Coilover!
If you get the Tein S-Tech springs, it will put you close but you'll probably have to go coilover to get that low. |
Get coilovers and lower your car to 25" from even ground to top of each wheelwell. Then you can corner weigh the car.
|
that car is much lower than 25". prolly 23-24"
you don't want to be that low. |
I'm at 25" and have had no problems. Personally I would not go any lower for street/performance, but with coilovers you can drop it to 23" for show only as you might be scraping stuff from the road.
|
cant spend that much right now on coilovers. any springs out there with a 2" drop from stock height?
drpjm1: any pics of your ride? |
You can always get eibach customs and get a custom spring rate and a custom drop for the FD. Obviously just costs a bit more than the prokits.

You could probably buy the "Track Pro Super Street System" from Pettit. Thats the place you got the picture. Here, take a look.
SU-PK-100 TRACK-PRO SUPER STREET SYSTEM Includes four Eibach progressive rate coil springs and the Trak Pro Super Street anti-sway bar. These computer designed components lower the RX-7 aprox. 1 1/4 inches and actually provide better initial ride comfort than the stock setup. During spirited driving body roll and dive are greatly minimized while driver feedback and car control are maximized . Looks good and works great too. 475.00 http://www.pettitracing.com/Images/P...kProSystem.jpg :D |
If you still live in The Woodlands, I'm less than 10 minutes from you. Come on over and look at my fd. I have H&R springs. At least you can get an idea.

H&R springs all the way :D
BTW: That car is WAY too low |
I'm telling you eibach customs are much better since you get to tell them what spring rate you want and what ride height you want along with it (how much you want them to drop your car). I'm probably going with a 1" drop in front and back with a 400 spring rate in the front and a 500 in the back and they are still progressive like the prokits.

whats the drop on the H&Rs?

H&R's say 1.25" drop all around, but it definitly seems like it's lower.
Along with H&R's, I also picked up Koni yellow's which also give you another .5 inch drop if you want to set it at the lowest spring perch slot. I set it at the highest in the front and lowest in the rear. It looks perfect! |
Rotary performance used to carry the suspension specialties super down low springs which drops the front 1.5 inch and the rear 2 inches. It's not listed on their website anymore though.
